Lid for Hydro Flask Standard Mouth

This standard mouth cap works with my Hydroflask and OXO brand bottles. It uses a flat gasket that doesn’t seal as tight as the OE round o-ring that seats inside the rim. This difference may be a positive or a negative depending on if you have had difficulties with the original cap and how it does get pretty tight as the o-ring is pressed into the inside of the mouth of the bottle. Since it is a flat gasket that seals against the top of the rim there is less force required to get it tight.Intimately, this only gets 3 stars from me because it is not a significant t price savings compared to the original Hydroflask cap. In fact, they are the same price if you can find it on sale. Currently I found some colored caps that were the same price as these aftermarket ones. I like the o-ring fit that is tight but also never shimmies loose. The weight and materials also doesn’t feel quite the same and feels thinner and not of the same quality that will hold up to drops and knocks. Lastly, the cap doesn’t line up exactly with the edge of the bottle and that little squared off edge is not comfortable in the hand to me. This little detail was something that I never even noticed with the original cap until it change became present in this aftermarket cap.
