The solution was to update the device with new firmware and sent a utility application to do this - which failed continually. However after suggesting I simply copy the image file to the TF card directly, it updated properly. 4 stars only because Carpuride does need to have a better infrastructure in place to manage firmware updates to their devices. <><><><><><><><> This is my 3rd Carpuride tablet I've gotten for my older vehicles. In general, these are a must-have for any vehicle that does not have an Android Auto/Carplay system in it already. They consistently connect, the back-up camera is really pretty solid as well as having the dashcam footage. At least that has been true for the W905 and W903 Carpuride tablets I've gotten. This one (W904) is the first one I've gotten that randomly freezes while I'm driving. The only work-around is to un-plug it and plug it back in, but it eventually freezes again. So 2 stars at this point for the W904. I've emailed support, so if there is a fix and I can verify it solves the problem, then a solid 5 star review would be in order.
