I love coconut oil
I love coconut oil, and I try to use natural products as much as possible these days. I started getting mild skin reactions and rashes from a few products last year, and so I want to start using natural things instead. I have been using coconut oil as a hair treatment, and also I smooth it directly onto my face. I bought what I thought was pure coconut soap at Boots, and then noticed when I got home that it had all kinds of extra additives and chemicals, and so I returned it. After doing a lot of research online, I came across this listing on Amazon, and I am really attracted to the fact it only has 2 ingredients. I also really like the fact that it is fair trade and ethically farmed, because I have seen online that coconut harvesting can harm monkeys and other wildlife. The people in Papua New Guinea (where these coconuts are from) are paid above the going rate – this is the way to do it. I am so glad I returned the other stuff to Boots and got this instead. As for the results, what’s not to like? It works really well, and has a rich and creamy lather. It cleans my body really well, and I even tried using it on my face. While it didn’t take all of my mascara off, it definitely made my skin nice and soft. I used a little eye make up remover next time, and it worked perfectly. I think it would be a bit drying if I used it on my face every day, it is a nice cleanser to use on facial skin once a week or so. One of the other best things is that it has no scent. I know some people like a perfumey scent in their soap, but it is often artificially enhanced. I didn’t want that at all, and this is completely unscented. As for a body and hand soap, this is the best coconut soap I have found. I will definitely be buying this soap again.

I'm SO impressed
I am SO glad I decided to take the plunge and go for these amazing natural soaps. Patchouli isn't a scent I'd usually gravitate towards, but the smell is so refreshing and it's so comforting on the skin. The soap is incredibly soft and smooth leaving my skin feel really silky, and it lathers up so quickly and easily. It sounds silly, but I always feel so clean after using it! I have really sensitive skin so I usually struggle with soaps which are scented, which is why I'm always looking for natural ingredients so that I don't aggravate my skin. I've been using these soaps for a few weeks now and my skin has never felt (or smelt) better - and my boyfriend has been sneakily using them too, which is how I know they're good! The delivery was also amazing. They arrived the day after I ordered them and were packaged to perfection. I couldn't recommend this product or the supplier more if I tried and I can't wait to try some more of their products after such a great first impression. Seriously - a good soap makes such a difference for a good shower!

Gorgeous, does good, feels good, no toxic chemicals
Gorgeous product, beautiful smell, lovely recyclable packaging and it lasts for ages. I was hesitant to buy at first as I thought it was a little pricey but honestly, it's worth every penny. It's gorgeous, chemical free and great for the family members with delicate skin and eczema, we've had no flare ups since we switched to this, highly recommend!

Very rich, white lather, but leaves skin feeling dry
This soap is made from coconut oil, lye and patchouli essential oil, so no unnecessary ingredients, is vegan, and according to the label, organic. It makes a very rich, very white lather, and has a very delicate smell of patchouli, which doesn't linger on your skin - it's only noticeable if you hold the bar to your nose - personally, I'd really like it to have a stronger smell. I don't really see the point of having scent if you can barely smell it. Soaps perfumed with natural essential oils do not smell as strongly as the chemically perfumed soaps. However, compared to the scent in other natural soaps, and considering patchouli is quite a strong essential oil, the scent in this is very weak. The other thing is that this soap is quite drying on my skin - the lather feels very rich, but it leaves my skin with slight white residue (even after thorough rinsing), and feeling very dry. I don't totally understand the chemistry behind soap making or exactly how it works, for that matter, but I know there are different methods of making soap, plus, I don't think I've ever had a soap only made with coconut oil. I thought that should make it quite moisturising, but it dries my skin out more than any other natural soap I've ever used. My guess is that this is due to way it was made, rather than the ingredients per se, but might be wrong there. If you are looking for natural soap that leaves you feeling "squeeky clean", then this might be the ticket, as said, the lather is very thick and very white, and feels quite rich, so am not really sure why it leaves my skin feeling so much drier than other soaps I've used. In general, soap is drying for the skin and as I only use it on my hands, and usually use hand cream after washing anyway, it's not a huge issue for me, so would probably buy it again, as the price is very reasonable.

Amazing soap.
Undoubtedly the best ever soap I ever used. Easy to lather, continues to lather even when you put the soap down, also easy to wash off. Smaller bar than I expected. The soap I usually go for is Knights Castle which you normally can buy 4 bars for about a £1.00. What impressed most about this product is the lack of ingredients. Only 3 natural ingredients compared to long list of inexplicable ingredients you normally get with your typical bar of soap. This is a luxury product and wouldn't be out of a place in a 5 star hotel. The bar of soap lasted about a week. I bought 2 and got Lavender one free. Would I buy again? I have to say as much as I enjoyed it I don't feel I could justify the expense of £20 a month. Though if it was bought as a Christmas present I would be very pleased. A soap worth trying out.

Disappointed
I don't like to write negative reviews but this one is necessary, so my son bought me this and I instantly loved it as my face felt so smooth, so I bought it again myself, and to my surprise I felt a burning sensation on my face, washed it off very quickly, I could think why a soap will do that so I used it again the next morning, my face started to burn. Im not sure if they didn't cure the soap long enough, the lye used needs to go through some kind of process, whatever the cause this soap burnt my face. I've got no idea how to describe this but my face has a roughness to it that wasn't there before. I would not recommend this product as they aren't consistent with procedure.

Beautifully scented, luxurious soap
This delightful soap arrived packaged sensibly and sustainably; an improvement to this would be if it were all compostable (my understanding that it is all recyclyable, but not all compostable may be incorrect and I'm happy to be corrected/informed futher!) The scent is gorgeous and strong enough to linger after showering; it's never overpowering. The rounded bar is easy to grip and use (a cylinder but oval shaped at the flat sides) and my children haven't any trouble holding onto it. Given the lack of ingredients that make traditional soap bars firm (this absence is a good thing), I recommend allowing the bar to dry out in between washes - essentially in the same way as for hair shampoo and conditioner bars. I haven't noticed a *huge* difference in the lifespan of this soap bar compared with traditional soaps. It anything, it's perhaps slightly shorter but then it's smaller than the traditional variety and I wasn't air drying the soap in between uses.

Great soap
Have been trying my hardest to clean my life up, as in healthy eating & cutting out endless chemicals which are seemingly in everything these days. Very different from using the usual shower gel as not the same amount of suds. Makes your skin a bit squeaky and leaves a slightly waxy feel but not in a bad way. Good to wash face with, doesn't dry it out (& I'm mid-fifties) I'm very happy that I'm not putting chemicals on my skin or down the drain. No real smell. Will definitely carry on using
