This hair mask certainly looks different, and it feels a little bit different, but on my hair the results weren’t nearly special enough to justify the current twenty-six quid price tag for a 500ml bag. It squeezes out of the bag in a firm sausage shape, quite different to the usual less structured hair goo. Thankfully the pale orange colour is quite nice, otherwise it would be visually very unappealing. You then split the sausage into pieces using your fingers, and apply it like a regular hair mask. It spreads quite readily. It has a reasonably heavy feel to it and it’s easy to feel where you’ve already applied it without looking. It is slightly easier to control in the palm than some masks and conditioners, and it does feel like a subtly different experience. It has a pleasant and fruity scent which reminded me of mango a little, which the colour also contributed to. The results, however, are underwhelming. My hair certainly doesn’t feel bad, and it definitely has that thickened and more under-control feel that I get from a thickening mask. There’s no excess shine and the scalp condition feels OK. But for the current asking price, I was really hoping for far more of a ‘wow’ factor, or anything that would justify why this mask costs twice as much as some perfectly good (and not super-cheap) other conditioner and mask brands that I’m perfectly happy with. The bag is a faff. It looks and feels like a refill bag, and it’s awkward to manipulate. The screw lid is easy to lose, and it doesn’t stand up on its own once you’ve started squeezing, which is a pain. But the problem with regarding it as a refill bag and transferring the contents to a more easy-to-use bottle is that this product is so thick, you’d need to use a bottle with a very wide neck in order to get the product out in the same way. For the poor value and the annoying bag, I am tempted to give this hair mask three stars. But that feels just a little harsh when my hair feels fairly good after using it, so four stars it is.

This hair mask is worth every penny, I have very corse long curly hair that is always matting up. This makes my hair like silk! The only problem is I can't find it to buy another one, if anyone can tell me where else sells this I'd really appreciate it.

My daughter has tried this Karseell hair treatment on her dyed blonde hair and is quite pleased with the improvement it has made. However, in fairness, I wouldn’t have said that her hair was badly damaged in the first place and, while it now looks decidedly smoother and shinier, the results aren’t really amazing. My daughter also thinks that the improvement is partly because she has made much more effort with her hair this week and that she has achieved similar results in the past with far cheaper products. The Karseell collagen treatment is considerably thicker than most hair products so has to be applied fairly generously. While it appears to have worked quite well by following the recommended process, there isn’t much of it left now, which is slightly disturbing in view of the high price. The manufacturer recommends buying two packages at once and states that regular application over a month will produce the best results. Following their recommendation would cost over fifty pounds, which we both feel is a lot of money to risk if the product doesn’t suit your hair type. Overall, while accepting that this treatment is clearly beneficial, neither of us is sure that it justifies its high price tag. What we can say for sure is that my daughter is not thinking of spending so much on another Karseell treatment pack at the current price.

This hair mask is fantastic and it’s so easy to use. I like that it leaves my hair feeling super soft and it’s very shiny! The mask is very easy for me to apply and a little does go a long way so it’ll last me a long time. It’s a lovely consistency and washes out well. I quite like the smell of the mask and it’s nice and noticeable which I do like. I think it’s made with good quality ingredients and it’s well worth getting so I highly recommend it. I noticed my hair had improved after the first use so it’s excellent value for money in my opinion.
