I was born and raised in Jerusalem the aroma from this mix of spices really takes me back and teases out great flavor from whatever I am cooking. I have used it as a dry rub on chicken, meat, salmon and it boosts marinades as well. I must add, this mix makes me very nostalgic to the days of shawarmas after movies in ‘mid-rehov’, or big family lunches in Ramallah at outdoor grill restaurants way, way, way back.
