This is a great product that we use in our outdoor cement steps. We have an older dog and he sure appreciates them as well. They stick well and last for quite some time. We live in a climate of extreme heat and cold as well as rain and snow.

Easy to put down, stays in place in rain/ snowy weather. Does the job! Love that they glow in the dark

Excellent grip and visibility for the steps in the garage. The gritty surface provides traction and the yellow fluorescent line glows in dim light to make the edge of each stair highly visible. Great product!

In my ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of my senior dog, I recently purchased the LifeGrip Anti-Slip Traction Treads with Glow in Dark Stripe. These treads were intended to provide added security on my back deck, which had become potentially hazardous due to freshly painted wooden steps that were slippery compared to the concrete ones my dog was accustomed to. After some time using them, I'd like to share my experiences and thoughts. Pros: Improved safety for pets: The primary reason for investing in these traction treads was to enhance the safety of my senior dog. Initially, he was a bit hesitant about the new texture underfoot, but as he got accustomed to it, I noticed a significant improvement in his confidence while going down the stairs. The treads effectively prevented him from slipping and provided the secure footing he needed. Relatively easy installation: Installing these traction treads was a straightforward process. They adhered well to the wooden steps and didn't require any complex tools or materials. This user-friendly installation was a definite advantage for someone like me who is not particularly handy. Cons: Glow in the dark feature may not be reliable: One aspect that didn't quite meet my expectations was the glow in the dark feature of these treads. Despite the promise of glowing stripes, I haven't noticed any significant illumination during nighttime. Fortunately, I have a security light that automatically comes on, which compensates for the lack of glow. However, if you rely solely on the glow feature for visibility, it might not be as effective as expected. Susceptible to wrinkling and pulling up in the rain: Another drawback I encountered was the performance of these treads in wet conditions. During rainy weather, the treads tended to wrinkle and could start to pull up from the steps. This required periodic adjustments and could potentially pose a slipping hazard if not addressed promptly. In conclusion, the LifeGrip Anti-Slip Traction Treads with Glow in Dark Stripe effectively served their primary purpose of enhancing the safety of my senior dog on the back deck. Their relatively easy installation was a plus, making them accessible to users with varying levels of DIY experience. However, the glow in the dark feature didn't live up to expectations, and it's advisable to have additional lighting in place. Additionally, be cautious in rainy conditions, as these treads may require maintenance to prevent wrinkling and pulling up. Overall, they provide valuable anti-slip protection but may have some limitations in specific scenarios.

We are rebuilding the home we lost and used redwood post and steps to exit the plastic plank decking. My husband has lost his central vision and I needed these to ensure he gets up and down safely. I had used them at a house we lived in seven years ago on concrete stairs and while a few had torn they are mostly intact and still reflective, so I was confident in making this purchase. These were easy to attach and could be repositioned if I didn’t get them straight the first time. It’s only been a few weeks but we have experienced three atmospheric rivers in that time, and the strips are still firmly attached to the wood, which was dry when I put them on. I like the width of these and think they will stay intact better than the thinner strips I used on the concrete. No cutting was required, and the backing was easy to peel off to set them on the edge of the landing and stairs.

These treads were simple to install and they look great. The only negative was the difficulty of removing the adhesive covering on the back. I installed all 10 treads on a new outdoor wood steps - we will see how they do over the winter. The grittiness of the tread nonskid and the visibility of yellow line are great.

This item works as described. It really helps my elder dog and myself when going up and down the deck stairs. The yellow stripe on black background is a very helpful visual detail. The material holds up perfectly in rainy, snowy and icy conditions. I probably should have bought the 4" treads, but my son was able to easily cut the 6" treads to fit my deck steps. I was surprised how it was so easy to stick to the wood step and how sturdy the stickiness is. I would definitely recommend this product to you. Also, we use the Yorwe Rubber Roller 6" tool to apply the treads. It was very helpful

These are very easy to apply. They do exactly as they should. They are durable. However, I put them on the cement stairs on my front porch, and after it rained they no longer stick. I put them on the wood deck stairs on the back of my house, and they are still secure. If you are going to use these for cement stairs, I recommend only using them indoors, or on a covered area. However for wood, it’s perfect indoor/outdoor.
