This is a very nice pressing mat. It's the first time I've ever bought or used one and I'm highly impressed. I'm an avid quilter/Seamstress and normally iron on an ancient ironing board. My precision has been off lately so I've made a few changes to my sewing arsenal. This was a wonderful addition. The mat is made of high quality wool and it's pressed into a super thick slab, it's at least 3/4 of and inch thick, maybe more. The measurements are spot on, it measures 15x13, perfect size for ironing quilt blocks and fat quarters. Fabric doesn't stick to mat and it absorbs heat well without damaging surfaces beneath. It came packaged well, no funky smell. It's easy to use, easy to move around, small enough to store away if needed. At less than $10 it was a great value for a wonderful addition to my sewing room. Using this mat, starch alternative and a new iron has greatly improved my precision. Highly recommend this product

Very impressed with the thickness of this mat. I use as a project station for my ironing and workspace and love the durability and quality of this product. Given the price, I’d say this far exceeds my expectations. Size is exactly as described.

I use this wool pressing mat when traveling. It works great. It is very thick so protects the surface underneath it very well. If I'm using a lot of steam, there will be steam under it, as is expected considering it is wool. It does not have a wool or animal smell to it. It is very sturdy. It hasn't shed at all (where as some of my other wool mats have). I usually put a piece of cotton over it to protect it from any interfacing sticking to it as we all know happens! Perfect travel size.

This is a great size for travel and the price is great. They could be a bit thicker, but seem to work pretty well.

The will may is thick and well made with good quality material. It is perfectly sized for small sewing work space and thick enough that the work surface did not get hot at all.

I got this item to use for pressing small pieces of fabric and seams for quilting and other crafts projects. I don't really have a lot of extra space so wanted an alternative to taking out and setting up an ironing board. This pressing mat is great. It is light and easy to carry, including to meetings of my sewing circle. It works well on any hard surface. The heat from my travel iron does not seem to pass through it at all. The material is very firm so that I get the good press that I need on small pieces of fabrics, singly and joined together.

Perfect size! This mat is nice and thick. Extremely pleased with the purchase.

Excellent for ironing small quilt blocks beside your sewing machine

Delivery right on time and item just as shown. Also I did not find it had an odor to it didn't use steam but then moisture and wool would likely bring out the smell of wool.
