These neon rope lights are truly awesome and a must-buy for anyone looking for custom ambient lighting. I got the 32.8ft set for my 14-year-old’s birthday, and they were a massive success! The build quality is excellent, and the flexible rope design makes it super easy to shape into whatever design you like. Just be sure to plan ahead and think about how you’ll route the cable to keep everything looking neat—it’s worth it for the end result! Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to the included mounting clips and adhesive backing. Once it’s in place, it stays secure, and it really does transform any setup. The colors are vibrant, and the RGBIC feature lets you display multiple colors at once, which is perfect for creating unique patterns and effects. Plus, it integrates seamlessly with other Govee products, making it easy to create a fully connected lighting system. I use it with DreamView while watching movies, and it looks absolutely amazing. The lighting syncs up perfectly with the screen, adding an extra layer of immersion. I’m already thinking of adding more Govee products to enhance the experience even further. After opening the box it can be a bit overwhelming, there’s a lot of small pieces and I got a bit overwhelmed — but, if you go on YouTube and search “Govee neon lights” there’s a 30 second video that really simplified the process for me! I am autistic and struggle with written instructions, so it was a great visual. I got the largest size and it wraps around my desk perfectly. These lights are incredibly bright and have tons of different color combinations / themes. You can also customize them individually and pick the colors you’d like to see. My favorite feature is definitely the music sync, it can seem a little too sensitive at first but there is a sound sensitivity slider in the app! I have the music box right behind my Echo, and it responds well. For the entire part of squiggles I didn’t use any of the bending connectors. I used the shortest ones and just made sure to have them shaped in a way where curving would be natural for them. I didn’t have a shape planned and just went for it. The heart bit at the end was a bit more complicated but I ended up using the straight clips for that part as well. Also, the screws would likely come in handy but I am in an apartment! The curved ones just kept falling off the wall and I believe it was because of the tension. These lights are definitely something you’ll have to play with for a bit to get them exactly how you want them, but it is 100% worth it! They’re very durable and insanely nice in terms of quality. The best LED’s you could find IMO (in my opinion). They connect to the Govee Home app as well as my Echo Show. 100% would recommend, just have some patience and trust the process! These are super bright, so I’d recommend blackout curtains in front of your window to avoid giving everyone outside a light show as well, haha. Amazing lights!
