Brilliant tcg starter pack. Explains the game and rules very clearly so great for those just wanting to learn how to play. Very happy with the purchase as it not only comes with 60 cards (which can go together to make a standard deck or be played as 2 half decks) but also a tcg mat, counter and damage pieces which leaves nothing to the imagination. Makes things very easy and clear.

I know my daughter will love this regardless of the state of the packaging but if I wanted something that looked like I bought it from a bargain basement I would do that instead.

Attractive packaging added to kids excitement. Once opened two half decks of cards with step by step instructions on how to play against each other (and why you should do some of the moves you make). The coin was light plastic which isn't great for actual use and the counters were flimsy cardboard which are easily lost. Game matts were very helpful for kids to layout cards and had rule explanations on the back. Overall good introductory set

This half deck with tutorial is perfect for new and younger players. The games are faster, but the rules can be picked up quickly. It even has a complete walkthrough of a game to play out. The deck(s) have simple cards that are still effective if used together in a full deck. Most of the cards don't require specific energy types, so handy for people building a deck before they have hundreds of spare cards. Really pleased with it.

Exactly as described, bought as a birthday present for my 7 year old brother and he loved it. Good selection of cards.

Good to start , the Pokemon TCG . But a weak Deck for tcgo. Against a v Deck i loose in 9 of 10 Matches. Have to Pimp IT Up a Bit, but Not enough cards yet.

My son was teaching me how to play TCG for the first time. The kit made a lot of sense which is excellent as I’m not a young mum anymore!

Good quality of cards but the packaging what a bit on the rough side but I 100% recommend this product

By popular demand from the kids and tweens I work with, I started hosting a Pokemon TCG get-together. Despite how popular Pokemon remains, some of the most enthusiastic attendees had never actually played the game before. It can be a little difficult to reign the kids in, and make them go through a practice game using the 2 separate half-decks, and follow the instructions step-by-step, it's well worth the effort. These starter decks cover most of the basic mechanics, to get new players familiar with the game. Even some adults have been surprised to learn that they found the game enjoyable too, and using what they learned, now can talk about it with their kids. The fact that the cards are numbered is *invaluable* when they inevitably get mixed up or dropped. Even better, once they feel comfortable with the rules, you can combine the 2 half-decks into a full deck and play along with more practiced players who have built their own.
