Perfect Backpack!
This couldn't be the more ideal backpack, both for travel and to use as a purse. I got the large size, which I worried would be too big, but it is just right to hold everything I'll need but not be too bulky. It's lightweight but feels very sturdy. The color is true to the pictures, which is nice, and I chose this one because it's a neutral that will look good with any outfit, any time of the year. Love the detachable top shoulder strap, especially for carrying as a purse. The back straps are adjustable. The front pocket is shallow, because the access to the inside of the bag is in the back, which keeps everything safe. There are several compartments (including slots for a phone, etc. and zippered pocket) inside to keep everything organized. On the exterior, there are two open pockets on the side. The nylon should wipe down easily, and I don't have to worry about scratching it up on a plane. I feel like they thought of everything with this bag. (It even came with a surprise passport holder inside!) Definitely worth the price, and would buy in more colors- I want the black next!

AWESOME!! Versatility at it’s best!!
Love this bag! Thought I should add photos of it compared to my hand size (I ordered the bag in size medium). Wanted to also show what it looked like with the shoulder strap on and off as well! True to the color in the pictures displayed as well. I’ve had problems with backpack purses being too small and too big, but this one is just perfect! Too small of a bag, I feel, doesn’t hold all that I want it too, while one too large is almost too school backpack like and does not look like a purse. Being a graduate student it’s nice to have my real back pack on while having this on my shoulder. The fabric is slick and cleans easy. The bag itself can be dressed up or down for the occasion. I LOVE the fact that the zipper is on the inside of that back of the purse; the anti-theft idea behind it really shines through. Added bonus‘ are the side pockets for a water bottle or small items for quick access, as well as the cute passport holder as well! I highly recommend as I will be using this for everyday use, comfort and durability.

Lots to love but not perfect
Ok, so I spent a ton of time looking for a bag that would be good for travel in areas with high rates of pickpocketing. I wanted something that I could wear as either a backpack or a shoulder bag, and this one fit the bill. The pros: -It's a good size and fits a lot -It's a pretty color -The main opening is against your back, which makes it a lot more secure -The main pocket has a double zipper, so I used a clip to connect the zippers to each other, which would make it a little tougher to pickpocket out of. -It has side pockets for a water bottle, umbrella, etc The cons: -The opening is an awkward shape, like an arch. You can fit a lot in the bag, but you have to kind of maneuver things through the weird opening. It's tricky. -The shoulder strap is too short. I wanted to be able to wear something across my body, not just on one shoulder, since across the body is a lot more secure. Thankfully, the strap is removable, attached with metal clasps, so I ended up adding some keyrings to both sides to make the strap longer. Kind of an odd solution, but it works! -The material. This is just a personal preference thing, so not a huge deal, but I'm not a fan of the look and feel of the "pleather." I would love if it came in a different material. I haven't really field-tested it yet, so I can't speak to how well it holds up over time, but there you go. Stupidly long review but hopefully someone finds it helpful!

Great travel bag!
This bag is great! I used it for a 2 week trip to Europe. It held up very well. It did rain several times and none of my stuff got wet, though I usually had it under an umbrella so I can't fully attest that it is "waterproof." Looks really nice and fashionable, I got the black with brown. I saw two other women carrying the exact same bag during my travels. I got the large size and was able to fit a cosmetic bag of essentials, travel umbrella, water bottle, hat, sunglasses, phone with wallet case, and a light sweater. The outer pockets are great for the umbrella and water bottle. For extra security, I used an S-biner clip to keep the zippers together. I also took the strap off the top and clipped it around my waist in crowded spaces and on buses/trains so nobody could run off with it. The strap is also useful for clipping it around chair or table legs at cafes. I used the inside zipper pocket for my phone and money, and the outside zipper pocket for things I needed quick access to like coins and hotel key card. I will say it is a little tricky getting into the bag in a hurry because of the way it is designed. I had to fumble with it to present it for bag checks at museums. The straps were pretty comfortable, but I always had several layers on. I think that if I used it in the summer, the buckles would be digging into my arms a bit. I do wish that the backpack straps were detachable or could be tucked into a pocket or something. I didn't carry the bag on my shoulder very much so I'm not sure how comfortable that would be for any length of time. Overall, can't be beat for feeling secure at a low price!

Great Quality
Love this bag. It is, I guess, nylon and has a great feel to it. The stitching is great and the clamps seem to be slightly heavy duty. It has nice detail and styling. he inside back compartment will easily hold a magazine or 10" tablet. The back compartment has 2 wide pockets, a zip pocket and 2 other pockets that can hold a cellphone or similar size device or wallet. When you wear this as a backpack, the back compartment is against your back making it a deterrent to someone stealing your wallet, passport, etc. There is only one zip pocket on the front of the bag that I wish was a little deeper in order to hold some other items. You have 2 side pockets that can hold a small umbrella or water bottle. My bag came with a gift: a passport cover. I will be using this backpack every Sunday to carry my materials in.

Unsure, sent it back
I have a really hard time finding the perfect travel backpack that I can bring on a plane and can double as a tasteful daybag or purse without looking too gaudy and touristy. I had specific criteria for what I was looking for and unfortunately, this didn't fit it. So, I returned it. Here's what I liked: - The overall design is fine. It doesn't look high end but it looks functional, low-profile and simple. - I like that it has 2 ways to wear the straps either as a traditional backpack or a shoulder bag - I liked that it had a somewhat anti-theft system with the zippered part being against the back. Here's what I didn't like: - I wanted a bag that could slip over the handle of my carry-on but this didn't have a dedicated strap. This just didn't sit right on my carry on and made getting into it for my passport or wallet very difficult. - I found it awkward to get into the zippered part without stuff falling out. So I had to sit with it in my lap or have someone hold it for me. - I feel like the exterior pockets are kind of pointless. The side pockets couldn't fit my Bobble water bottle. - The interior space is roomy but since it tapers at the top, I just didn't enjoy the experience of getting in an out of it. I like to document my travels with a variety of cameras (i.e. phone, GoPro, Canon) and this just felt cumbersome with all my items in there and trying to get what I need without stuff falling out. It's not a bad bag but this one just didn't check all the boxes for me.

Great for travel and everyday use
I bought this Charmore bag in Black/Large. I’ve had it since October 2019 and feel I can give a fairly accurate review. I was looking for a backpack I can use for my everyday commute, one that has a hidden back compartment so my belongings aren’t easily accessible to thieves. Function is what’s important to me, but I also wanted it to look chic. I asked more fashionable friends and they all liked the black color best. I had bought these bags in Gray/Large, Brown&Black/Large, Khaki/Medium, Brown/Medium to compare. I included photos of them. Although the photos online make them look structured, they are not. The material is a thin nylon similar to that of Longchamp bags, and the colored straps are somewhat metallic and woven like a seat belt. The seat belt look is less apparent in the Black bag. Something to note, the zipper direction for the front pocket is different depending on the bag, no guarantee which you’ll get. Before Covid-19, I was using this bag almost everyday during my commute. I even used it twice for travel. It’s roomy enough to fit everything I need and more. I have used it in rain and snow, and all of my contents stayed dry. That being said, I don’t know if it’s completely waterproof because it wasn’t a heavy downpour. Below are my comments on each pocket and what I use it for. The names in quotes are what the company named the pockets, as shown in one of the product photos. Front zipper pocket Small, frequently-used non-valuables like lip balm and gum. Side pockets One for my water bottle/umbrella and another for trash until I can find a trash receptacle/ (receipts, food packaging, napkins, etc). “Document pocket” (far back pocket inside main compartment) This is where I put feminine products and tissues. “Keys/Glasses pocket” (pockets in front of far back pocket) This isn’t a good pocket for keys. It’s deep and narrow, making it difficult to easily access a set of keys. I put my sunglasses and pens in here. Anything long and thin works, but smaller items might get stuck at the bottom of the pocket and thicker items just won’t fit. “Phone” pocket I sometimes put my phone here, but lately I’ve been keeping my face mask in here for easy access. I also keep bandaids and spare hair ties here. When at the airport going through TSA, I’ve put my passport and phone in here for quick access. “Zipper pocket” This is where I store valuables like my keys and wallet. I put these here because they are less likely to get stolen in case someone decides to slash my bag. I always keep it zipped, so in case my bag is open, my important belongings won’t fall out. Main compartment Everything else. I keep my phone here when the risk of my bag being slashed from the bottom is low. It also fits my portable phone tripod. I’ve put my 13.3” laptop (about 13” x 9” x 1”) in here, and it works but is a bit of a squeeze. In the fall and spring, I keep a light shawl in here. Likes: - anti-theft main compartment - has many pockets - water resistant nylon - black looks chic - good price Dislikes: - the straps look like seatbelts (not noticeable on black) Summary: Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cute commuter/travel bag that keeps your belongings secure. That said, just know they don’t exactly look like how they do online.
