My senior pitbull is increasingly sensitive to overheating in warmer temperatures, but she is a sun-seeker who loves to be outside. I found it as a great option to add for her in the backyard, offering needed shade. I like that it is open on 2 sides so that she can get in and out easy, as well as allow for the breeze to roll through. It's lightweight which makes set up and take down easy, which I do because of rain in the winter (we're in CA) or higher winds. I have a dog bed in there for her, but that isn't enough weight when the 30 mph gusts come. There are a few rips in the bottom now, but the rip stop fabric is holding up well and I think this is a good value for the price.
