I bought this brush to do a slick back hairstyle, but I found that the bristles were too soft to effectively smooth my hair using the brush alone. I have wavy blonde hair, which usually is easy to scrape back using a synthetic back comb brush, but I wanted a natural brush to reduce damage to my hair. While the brush does help tame the frizz and smooth down the top layer of hair, it doesn’t quite have the strength to flatten out any bumps. It’s great for light smoothing, but I still need to use other brushes along side it for the desired style.

As useful as a shoe shining brush. Bristles too soft and tightly packed to grip hair....thin or thicker. Waste of money.

Very soft bristles! perfect for doing ballet hair and the pointed end is great too. It is however too soft to go through the hair so I brush with a regular brush and then go over with this to create the smooth finish.

I bought this brush a year ago. It has been the best for my daughter's hairstyles, I was looking for something for fine strand and the result has been magnificent. It controls frizz, gives it a super smooth texture from the root and its cells are easy to clean.

I bought this brush to help with the oil on my scalp and to spread throughout my strands, but irhe bristles are little flimsy so I need to section my hair. For reference I have thick straight hair.

Do you know that when it gets wet, it stinks? I mean really bad. Like, as in the cat walked by and made a face and stared me down inquiring as to what the hey kind of prey did I catch and was I smart enough not to eat it. The package wasn't sealed. And although it looked new, I washed it with some shampoo. And then washed it a couple more times. So it doesn't stink any more. There is zero care info given. You will either have to know or look it up. It's my first boar bristle brush. It does tame some fly-aways. So maybe it will grow on me. Or maybe not.
