I have trialed many options from silicone devices to Velcro based buddy straps without much improvement for my hammertoe. Although most were comfortable, some were outright painful after a couple of hours. I had figured that these might be uncomfortable but more efficient based on the metal inserts. These aren't. I was able to wear it for hours before some discomfort, and that was from pressure over an old scar at the midjoint of the toe. This brace is personalizable. They fit whatever the anatomy. They are thick enough to continue the corrective bracing. It only takes a minute to apply and secure. The list price of $6.59 for two braces is a great value. It is certainly cheaper and less risky than any surgical procedure meant to straighten out my toe.

It did what it’s supposed to do. I fit my big toe perfect but I also have small feet/toe for reference I am Size 6 in shoes

Based on the images, I purchased this to splint a big toe. I regret that - it is suitably sized to stabilize a secondary toe, or perhaps a small child's toe, but definitely not a teen or adult big toe. I put it on my index finger for the photograph to illustrate. If the velcro strap part of this were longer, it could almost certainly be used to stabilize something thicker (like a big toe), but the width of the stabilizing bar is still narrower than an adult big toe. You might be able to try to jury rig something with Velcro cable ties, but that is not exactly an optimal solution. If it were not for the misleading photographs, I would rate this at 4 stars. It's inexpensive and well-constructed enough, mostly losing a point for the lack of any instructions. Not that it's super complicated to figure out, but it's a medical device, so I don't want to have to guess.

I bought this for my son’s broken toe, but it was too small for his toe! He is 6’1” tall and wears a size 12, so if you have big feet it won’t work for you.
