Crystal clear mic! Great for separate mic/headphone solution!
Perfect solution for my son's gaming set up. The Sony headset I gave him finally died and we needed a replacement. Researching a replacement I realized that a better solution would be a separate mic/headphones setup. According to most of the information I read headsets many times sacrifice quality in either the microphone or sound quality of the headphones not to mention charging a premium. My son already had a nice pair of the Skullcandy Hesh 2 Bluetooth headphones we could pair it with. I ran across the KLIM Mic on Amazon and it had very positive reviews. I went ahead and purchased them in black and red which perfectly matched my son's rig. They arrived promptly in nice hassle free packaging. I plugged them in and they were ready to go. Easy peezy plug and play! We tested them out right away using the Discord chat program. The sound was crystal clear with virtually no interference from the environment. The mic sounded crisper and cleaner than the Sony headsets. We also used it with Skype and again it was crystal clear. I was very pleased with the result. I was ready to buy a new pair of expensive headsets but instead bought the KLIM for a fraction of the cost and was able to utilize the Hesh 2 headphones we had on hand. I would definitely recommend the KLIM to anyone who is looking to do a separate mic/headphone setup. Good quality mic at a fair price!! Glad I did my research and saved some cash instead of just buying an expensive headset with possibly not as good sounding mic. Thinking of getting this for my own pc setup and using my Lucid LS30 headset strictly for my PS4. In fact I just purchased a pair of AKG headphones from Harman Kardon, the MK550 MKII, that I may use for the same type of setup with a KLIM mic of my own. Anyway my son's definitely a happy gamer!

Overall good. Little things... not so much.
I have had the product for about 5 months or so. It does its job, I have had no complaints when talking with friends and such with the quality. It doesn't pick up background noise ( I have a fan near it and it doesn't pick it up). The on/off switch is great, volume button is nice too for quick fixes with quality. Base is a hollowed plastic with some weights fastened internally it seems. the microphone 'neck' is sturdy, adjusting the microphone is easy and smooth, doesn't get caught on itself. The only thing wrong with it is that I can't have my phone anywhere near it almost feels like I need to keep it out of the same room when I'm using it. I have been told it causes a loud static noise. Its because of the interference but i feel like if they are going to advertise this as a phone stand as well probably should have better insulation on those wires. With that being said I give it 4 stars all around

Great functionality for the money
I got this little mic because the one built in to my Logitech webcam was not doing the job. I set the mic about 2.5 feet from my face, i.e. just on the back side of my keyboard, and it works beautifully. I do a lot of teleconferencing, and all my fellow conferees think I can be heard much more clearly when I speak at a normal conversational level. The USB interface is handy, as most desktops have several of them readily accessible; it has an on-off switch so you don't have to do a software 'mute' if there is background noise; the connecting cord is about 5' long and should easily reach your computer, unless it is really crazy far away from where you sit, and is also a fairly heavy gauge, and not likely to break easily (these cords are often the weak point of inexpensive electronics, and when they're gone, it doesn't matter how well built the rest of the unit is, it's still useless); and the sound quality is first rate, i.e. definitely better fidelity than a phone, and absolutely sufficient for voice. Finally, it is solidly constructed of heavy-duty plastic; if you dropped it on the floor, it wouldn't break, and as I noted, the cord is equally heavy-duty. This thing should last a good long time. All in all, an excellent value.

Decent, but has its issues.
You get what you pay for, basically. Me and my friend wanted new mics, so I bought this and he bought a Blue Yeti. Out of the box, it looks and feels sturdy, BUT, the volume knob has no indication when its at max or lowest, you have to just mess with it until whoever you're talking to says it isn't getting louder. Also, its fragile feeling. You push it.. upwards to turn the LEDs on and off, and most of the time (least on mine) it either A) Doesn't 'pop' into the internal button under it right, or B) works fine. A happens more often than not, it needs a lot of force and I feel like I'm going to break it. But, its the LEDs, I really dont care about them. Now to sound quality... Its average. My friends blue yeti completely changed how he sounds in Curse etc. It sounds like hes in the room with me. With this, he says he gets some very sporadic pop/crackle noise occasionally from me, he also said it has what he describes as a 'slight echo sound, like your in a bathtub'. This also has a VERY constant slight background static noise I cannot get rid of (see below) Though nowhere near as bad as my old Logitech headsets static. This mic is also VERY quiet. Even with the volume on the mic all the way up, and settings on comp to max, it was still very quiet when its only around 3-4 ft away from my face. If I didn't have Adobe audition to amplify, this would be near unusable for me. (I have a very deep voice, so that may be my issue only) So to try to remedy this, I got Adobe Audition CC up and configured stuff manually, then tried stuff from youtube etc. Nothing. I got some of the things to not be as apparent but the sound issues still persisted no matter what settings I did. TL;DR Cheap, gets the job done, constructed well EXCEPT the volume/light knob. Not a lot of background noise compared to others in price range. (Better than some 50$ logitech headsets) But, I am going to sadly try to return and just get a Yeti, as I plan to do Lets Plays etcetc with my fiance and this won't cut it with the constant slight static.

The mic works great and it was super easy to use. My friends tell me my voice comes through very clearly, even though I actually have it on the arm of the chair beside me. However, so does my audio output from the speakers (completely independent of soundcard). If you have a headset, this will work fantastic for you! If you are recording, software like audacity can filter out the background noise. It seems extremely durable and looks great. Highly recommend it.
