What's the difference between the old and new version in terms of both ingredients and effects?

Thank you for asking. The new stuff does not work. We were so concerned that what we got was a counterfeit, that we bought more product at a brick and mortar store that had old stock. And sure enough there was a difference. The new formula does not form the hair, and feels watery. This is disappointing because we have been using this stuff for a few decades.

Is the formula the same with the new labeling?

Yes ... I've not seen any changes to the product quality, consistency, or ability to hold. I started using it as an alternate to "Crew Comb".

Will this work on chin length hair styled in a slick back? If so, is it best to apply to damp or dry hair? Is the hold good?

It can work for chin hair. The performance would depend on hair thickness. This product provides medium hold. For me it works better on damp hair. Ocassionally, during non-ideal situations, I use it on dry hair but it tends to form globs if not careful. Damp hair is best for uniform distribution.

Excelente crema de peinado para el pelo

Lo mejor para moldear mi peinado. Se puede aplicar tanto con el pelo seco de secador o húmedo después de secar bien con la toalla (es lo que yo prefiero). Hay que escoger bien el momento de compra ya que hay veces que está muy caro.
