Have they fixed the flickering issue?

I bought one with a build date before August 17 and sent it back to AOC. They exchanged it for one with a build date in October. The flicker issue was better but not completely fixed. Still had minor flickering issue as well as a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. Got an RMA from AOC and they agreed to a full refund, even though it was purchased from Microcenter. Good customer service from AOC.

Is the 100hz refresh rate the default or the overclocked rate? In comparison the x34 predator has a 60hz refresh but 100 overclock.

Capable of 100hz without overclock. Default rate is 60hz.

I see that there are lights. are they rgb/programmable? can you turn them off?

You can choose from Red, Blue or Green, but not rbg. You can choose between 3 intensity levels or choose to turn off. The 4 lit bars on the back of the monitor look amazing. If it's against a wall, it acts like accent lighting.
