Seems like it will work
I havnt had to actually use it for safety but it makes a great tarp and seems like it would do its job

Everyone needs one!
I am in the Survival Instructor Program for a top school. I used this to “burrito” in during a field course this past Dec at 7,000’ in So Cal. Snow on the ground and rain all night. This kept me dry and warm. Same one used last weekend as a carrying device to build several student’s debris shelter and it is still in great shape!

It seems pretty durable.
Wish it costs less

Great heat retention, in- or outdoors
I lay one of these in my bedblankets during winter. Very toasty and warm, but not heavy or crinkly like traditional space blankets. Also make a great emergency blanket to keep in the car.

Wanted to like this...but
I do a fair amount of car camping, and I wanted something for sleeping to use as a thermal barrier that was not as noisy as a space blanket but had basically the same features of a space blanket. This is basically a plastic tarp with a reflective side. It's only about half as quiet as a space blanket. I suppose it would work as an emergency blanket in a pinch but I tried using it as a blanket in my car (ext temp 32 deg F) and I was still shivering. When I combined this with my USGI poncho liner (Woobie to many of you) I was too hot. So does it work? Kinda, I guess but there are far better products for use as a blanket. The car turns into a greenhouse (even in the winter) without a cover, so I'm using this thing now as a car shade and it seems to be adequate for that. I'm 6ft 200+ lbs, you smaller people it might work better for, but for walruses like me there either is just not enough material or what material there is is not very thermally efficient.

Warm and durable
Keeps all your body heat in. It's very heavy duty so it's not like a soft blanket but it does the job of keeping you warm so I'll sacrifice the comfort.

Sturdy Blanket
Nice stronger emergency blanket with multiple uses besides just being a blanket.

Essential gear!
Lightweight, strong and versatile. I always have one in my hunting pack.
