Great oven, improvement on previous AEG model which lasted 13 years, and much improved digital display, which adjustable and more intuitive to use. The airfry/pizza function also works and cooks food more quickly and evenly, using the wire mess shelf provided. The water cleaning function works, but not as well as previous oven's pyrolytic heat cleaning function, so anticipate having to clean areas that don't clean as well (fan cover plate) with a suitable cleaning product periodically, to maintain the oven. Otherwise really happy with the oven, which is quiet and heats up quickly. The great price on the Amazon AEG store made purchase sweeter. I fitted the oven my self as I already had the appropriate hard wired electricicals in place from previous oven with the same specification. I hope this oven will also last a good few years. I would recommend and buy from the AEG Store again.

Pros Good Quality Oven from AEG. The Oven has a 1.5 Metre Long Lead , from the Bottom , Left Side of the Oven with a UK Plug on it . This 1.5 Lead can be Removed ( Only 7 Torque Screws ) for Installations that are Wired Directly into your Mains Supply ( Normally Via a Oven Isolation Switch ) The "True Fan" Setting is Great , Cooks Well and is inline with Instructions of Food . For Example Mccann Home Fry Chips quote on them 210 Degrees C at 25 mins to 28 mins . and the Oven Cooks these inline with this. The Grill is Great , the Grill Element goes around the Top Edge of the Oven by 80mm , this Element Glows Red when On. Also there is only another Element around the Edge of the Oven ( 40mm around the Edge ) , This Element gets Hot but does Not Glow Red , I think this is Designed to do this for Even Cooking . I used the Grill with the Supplied Grill / Rack , with Toast and Cooking Bacon and the Results are Great , Very Even Cooking and Works Really Well. My Old Hotpoint Oven , the Grill Worked But the Grill Only Cooked in the Centre of the Grill , Only 50% of the Area and was Very Uneven Cooking . So I have to Move the Bacon from the Centre to the Edge and the Bacon on the Edge to the Centre All the Time !! I also Purchased from ASDA a Few "George Home" 38cm Non-stick Oven Tray which was on Offer at around £3.80 . ( Normally around £6 to £7 ) .This Tray is Great for Cooking Chips and Grilling Bacon , the 38cm width fits into the Chromed Tray Guides of the Oven Well . Cons None Really , But this Unit is 29 Kg in Weight , I am nearly 60 years Old , So my Brother Helped me with Lifting the Unit into Place . Also he has Passed the Part P Qualification so he Wired in up . It Goes without Saying that If your Set-up is Just a UK 3 pin Plug , it just a case of adding the Plastic Slider Bars on the Underside and Plugging in the Unit , Lifting it into the Gap and using the 2 screw on the Front to Hold in Place. Just started using this oven and upto now it’s performance is amazing, Pros - great oven plenty of space and features along with timer that turns off the oven once cooking time has ended. Cons - No cable when it arrived / Timer alarm seems to carry on after oven has turned off so you could not go out and leave it really and the shelves are more of a tray, no sliding baking trays in and out easily with it dropping into the shelf but, I turned mine upside down to solve this issue. Overall I do like the look / space and features this oven has to offer. I do recommend.

This is a great cooker, especially for single people or a couple. Im not sure how it would cope with a big family meal, but for me it works great. It was an excellent price and very easy to use on daily basis. It does take a while to heat up, but so do all ovens, but its simple to keep clean if you deal with spillages when they happen

So, there is no plug on this, you have to go to the extra expense of hiring an electrician to install it. Nothing wrong with this in principle I guess, except there is nothing I can see that tells you of this at all in the material (oh except if you squint hard enough on the picture of the installation instructions, there is a single picture which i now know signifies this need - not obvious). There was a couple of other reviewers who mentioned this, but I missed those unfortunately so adding this one so hopefully other people aren't caught out. Annoyed and frustrated, now facing the decision of whether to go through the faff of returning it, or pay extra for an electrician. In the mean time lumbered with an old oven that doesn't cook things well. Thanks AEG, please actually make this clear for your products.
