I've been working my way through phone gimbals for ages now, trying to find the best. This Zhiyun tops the rest, easily. I use a Zhiyun gimbal professionally and always swear by them so this phone gimbal is no different. Easy instructions to follow if you haven't balanced one before and quick too. Battery life is excellent, beats all others by far. This is the only gimbal I have bought and used that doesn't tilt to one side when filming with the mobile phone in vertical mode, for reels etc. Perfectly plumb unlike pretty much all the DJI gimbals I've used before. Highly recommended!

The sturdy grip and premium design along with the perfect movement response. I would advise anyone if you’re serious about filmmaking/ content creation not to waste your money on cheaper models as they are misleading and c###. You can’t go wrong with this gimbal! 10/10

Let me start by saying that it has taken me a while to get the hang of using this gimbal, but I am glad that I have persevered as the results are very good. The reason it has taken me so long is that the instructions are not particularly clear or easy to access. You get a very basic set up guide and are then directed to a long series of online tutorials. If you are a complete novice like I am then like me you might find it all very overwhelming. It took me quite a few sessions and a lot of perseverance before I could even get the basic functions to work. After a lot of online learning and many hours I finally began to get my head around it. I still don't find it intuitive, but the basic functions are logical enough. The gimbal itself is made from strong components and holds my Pixel 7 Pro firmly in place with a little bit of room for a slightly larger phone if you needed. The controls fall quite naturally under the relevant fingers and thumbs and there is a decent amount of feedback when you are operating it. The unit can be hand held or there is a standard tripod attachment if required. The unit works really well. The phone is held very stable and the results are excellent. There are several modes (which I am still getting used to) but you can have smooth pan and so on, so I think that this should cover pretty much every requirement for a stabiliser. So overall I am impressed with the results from this device but it has taken me on a journey to get there. Maybe it is the lack of instructions, or maybe it is just my inexperience with using anything like this before, but it is the first time in a long time that I have struggled so much with new technology. If you are looking for a gimbal then I would certainly say that this one should be on your list.

Still getting to grips with it (pardon the pun!) but it is an incredible piece of kit. Comes very well-packaged in a professional quality box (quite a large one!). The AI tracker works very well, enabling beautifully smooth video fro my iPhone 15 Pro Max. To get the very best out of a device like this I feel that you really do need to have decent video-editing skills too, using something like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, but there is no doubt that the quality of your raw video will improve dramatically with a gimbal like this. The included set-up guide is very basic - you are directed instead to download the online manual. I would actually suggest instead to go onto YouTube where you will find endless guidance on set and use. It's very well constructed from quality materials; although I had never used a gimbal before now I was already aware that ZHIYUN is a highly-regarded brand in this sector. I feel that I am still climbing a reasonably steep learning curve in order to maximise the benefits of this fantastic device, but I am enjoying the process. This is my first gimbal as a newbie to video making and I wanted to try this to video wildlife whilst birdwatching so it's easier to follow bird flights as I always lose them when tracking just through my phone in my hand. I received the standard version which doesn't come with the tracker or extra lights but as the costs of purchasing each of these separately is quite expensive, I would have gone for the pro kit version if I had had a choice. Out of the box, this feels really heavy duty in terms of build and quality. I tried to scan the qr to get the instructions video but it didn't take me to it. I then tried to follow the diagrams into setting it up but got completely lost and ended up finding a brilliant you tube video by someone called 'mamo air' who does a detailed step by step video on how it all works and how to change each section and balance the phone so it doesn't flop around uncontrollably. It took me a few days to find it as a lot of videos were aimed at the tracker use (which I don't have with this model) or just highlighting the spec. So .. few things I discovered with this. Minor niggles... - I did struggle attaching my Xperia phone in its case betweeb the grippers so I had to remove the case for it to fit better. I also had to slide it further to one side because it landed on the camera button (on the new model) and kept setting it off. It's also quite hard to get the phone in/out but I guess a strong grip is better than a loose one (especially with no protective case on) - you can switch between landscape and portrait mode without removing your phone first by sliding the phone down the gripper and then twisting it. But, each time you change it you have to rebalance the phone again which is a bit of a faff ,so I found it best to keep to either portrait or landscape mode at any one time. - it doesn't fold down to a compact size so bit bulkier for carrying around and the standard kit doesn't come with a pouch or carry case Really like: - it feels great to hold and sturdy and has a handy tripod attachment that is removeable so perfect for static bird watching. - doubles up as a power bank for your phone which is super useful (especially if your phone doesn't have a long battery life) - choice of video editing apps to link it with OR, you can just use your phone. ZY Cami is a great beginners one and easy to follow. - quick selfie feature button at the back of the gimbal ie press it 3 times and it spins around to take selfies, and then press the same again to reposition. Has so many features on the gimbal itself with different tracking options to follow you around and also being able to add additional lights for filming in low light etc. It will take me some time with tutorials to learn how to use this as I've mentioned, but it seems like a really solid bit of kit that is versatile and multifunctional and you can add the extra lights and even microphone to it as well so I'm quite impressed.

The version I have is the Standard version, which does not come with the AI module, additional fill light or travel case. That being said, it is still a very capable and versatile smartphone gimbal. It allows me to take smooth professional videos with no camera shake or awkward movements, greatly improving the quality of my videos. Having never used a smartphone gimbal stabiliser before it did take quite a while to get used to the movements and how to use it, as I found if I make sudden movements the gimbal will go all over the place, so smooth consistent movements are required. I would strongly recommend downloading the full PDF version of the instructions from the QR link in the box as this helped me massively with understanding all the different options and features of the gimbal. The accompanying App is also essential as this allows you to use the tracking feature (when filming through the Apps camera function) and I found the tracking to be very responsive and followed me without too many issues, although the one issue I did find is, similar to before, if I made a sudden movement the gimbal did seem to have a mind of it’s own and start going all over the place and loose tracking. The App is quite complex, with lots of options and features. It includes its own camera which saves photos and videos to your phones gallery (I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S22), some editing features, guides and some featured content which can help give you some creative ideas. Obviously, it’s yet another App to create an account for and privacy is a little bit of a concern. The App is also used to update the gimbals firmware although this can also be done via a PC if you prefer but this also requires installing additional software on your PC. Overall though, this is a great gimbal to explore a more creative way to make videos and I feel it’s quite good value especially if you take a lot of videos for social media is it will really give your videos that professional feel.

This is such a good quality combo gimbal attachment for a variety of different camera phones and very easy to use once you get the hang of it. It holds my phone without any issues what do ever, I like it's not to heavy, easy to pack away. It balances very well as it says it does, professional for sure, I've got really good shots since using it. It has tracking so different things for different trackings which is even better to have and use. This has an upgraded handle so you can shoot from any angle you want to. Joystick control I've never had one and attachment but this is amazing and makes it so much better to use. Has all the wires and cables you need to get started, you get a nice bag it goes in very compact too. It has been the best one I've had so far, I would definitely recommend if you're wanting to get really good shots as you can get any angle you can possibly want, it doesn't ache my wrist like my cheaper other brand I have. 100% professional, definitely advise you to get one, its exactly as described in the description.
