Half Baked Harvest Quick & Cozy: A Cookbook Review: Beautiful cookbook uses fresh ingredients - This is a great cookbook! There are so many recipes that will become family favorites in each category. I love that there is also a cocktail section. There are many comfort food oriented recipes too. Beautifully illustrated. A substantial addition to my collection. It would also make a wonderful gift for the aspiring chef on your list! Review: Another awesome trove - great for beginners and long-tenured cooks alike - I love Tieghan's recipies. I've been cooking my entire life and inherited not only my grandmother's cookbooks, but her obsession with them. My grandfather used to tease that she'd sit in her arm chair and read cookbooks like novels. I've learned that a good cookbook does teach you how to cook to the point that you can improvise. Poorly written cookbooks not only have untested or bad tasting/textured recipes, but also don't educate you as to why you're doing what you're doing. Tieghan's recipes come out fantastic. She gives just enough detail to allow you to understand what to look for in texture, finished color, etc. to really nail the cook on everything, and she does so without being overly wordy. Her recipes are also unique without being bizarre or trying too hard. I have waaay too many cookbooks, and those that I have (sixty some) I whittled down and curated after years of owning/borrowing from the library many a cookbook. Of all of them, not being hyperbolic here, hers have the best balance of offering unique recipes that aren't too wild with the ingredient list or flavor. The flavors are profound and phenomenal, don't get me wrong - and that's the point. She doesn't over-do one flavor profile just to have a dramatically different recipe. She successfully balances complex flavors, combinations I haven't seen elsewhere, and does so in a way that makes for a bite that is enjoyable - not confusing. Many of my cookbooks have one or two categories that they nail and then I avoid the other categories (like maybe the desserts are great but the author tried to squeeze in salads and they're all predictable and half-hearted). Tieghan's recipes all come out GREAT. Like something where I am legitimately exclaiming how good the flavor is. She knows how to handle the ingredients she is using. I own four of her cookbooks and they are all worth owning. It impresses me that she keeps coming out with volumes of recipes that are all like "that golden version" of something you'd cook. A lot of my improvising in the kitchen has evolved and been influenced by her. It's surprising again because she's relatively young and I don't think she was a chef at any point (could totally be off base here). She's clearly a natural. I highly recommend trying either this or another of her cookbooks. Doesn't matter what "level" chef you are. Her recipes are easy to follow for a newbie but unique enough to be inspiring to the tenured cook.

Fantastic book ! Great recipes ! Beautiful pictures !
Best cook book i think ive ever gone through. Me and my family like to cook at least 2-3 times a week. we went through the recipes we knew 100% we would like so 2-3 of this books recipes a week and then it came down to the salads/soups and seafood and desserts where we havent made as many but we arent big of those things but they are things we would 100% make but just happen to be too lazy. lol. BUT we still remake lots of recipes on this book. This was purchased for my mom for Christmas by me Because i was at work. And was packing it for an order and said let me take a quick quick look at this book. It looked so good i bought it the next day for my mother and yeah i still use it to this day. i purchased this 2024 December im pretty sure (it was a Christmas to her). my favorite recipe is a chicken and mushroom with prosciutto. i cant explain it because you need the book ! Its so good ! That recipe alone. Is worth the price of this book ! 10/10

Delicious l, easy to cook meals
This cookbook is worth the money! I have made 5 recipes so far, with 1 being the monitor, and they were all delicious. The ingredients listed are all fresh and easy to fine. Nothing you need to go to a specialty market for, as far as I can tell. She definitely loves spice, but that can easily be modified. I do because I have young kids who aren't eating spicy foods yet. The instructions are easy to follow and most importantly, you get delicious food that doesn't take hours to make. There are 13 vegetarian recipes, 13 fish & seafood recipes, and a ton of other chicken and beef recipes that the whole family can eat. I'm doing my best to work through cookbooks that I buy to make good use of them. This is one I will use for years to come.

Easy Recipes & Great Pics!
I love the recipes in this book and pictures, but I can see why people are complaining about the font size and empty space on some pages. The layout is a bit weird, hence the 4 star rating. Aside from that, I really don’t understand why there’s so much judgement on Tieghan’s recipes. People are allowed to create and cook as they want! There is no right or wrong way, as long as that person enjoys it. We cook out of love and what feels right to us! Cooking is about experimenting and crafting delicious meals as you please. I especially enjoy trying new recipes that are different. To those complaining; where is your cookbook? Overall, this book offers some yummy looking meals, drinks and desserts. I can’t wait to try the recipes! I really enjoy Tieghans website too halfbakedharvest.com
