WDT Flick Tool

This a really good product for any budding home barista. It is really easy to use and is very solid and well built for the price. It is functional and just the right weight without been too heavy/light. It has really improved my puck preparation and my espresso massively! I also really like the little storage/magnet which comes with both adhesive pads and magnets for flexibility. Highly recommend.

The Flick is absolutely brilliant! For sure the best WDT tool I’ve used. The needles are distributed in a way that both breaks down the clumps in the portafilter but also spread the grounds evenly. I love the magnet it comes with too; it’s currently attached to the side of my machine. I’d highly recommend!

This really is a fantastic WDT... I'm serious about espresso at home and your set up is weak without a good WDT. The Subminimal Flick has a lovely weight to it. The design is just awesome, the button press to release the needles and the flick action to retract them is so cool. The needle depth is brilliant, it can reach to the bottom of the basket with ease and it doesn't flex when breaking up the coffee grounds which is nice as some can feel a bit weak when in use. This isn't just a gadget with a unique selling point in the flick action. This is a great value for money tool that you absolutely need in your home if you're serious about espresso. I'll be recommending this to anyone that asks about my workflow.

Ive been using a cheap WDT since I got my first espresso machine. It was OK but after reading more about the importance of puck prep, I realised that my WDT wasn't actually doing much at all. Read reviews for the Subminimal Flick and decided to give it a go. The difference between this and the cheap / generic one is HUGE! Any lumps are broken down much much better and the puck is almost level when you're done. With the old one, I had to intentionally level out the fines. It's also a faster process.

The best addition to my coffee set up! Have had this product for a few months now and wouldn't go without it. Normally the high price tag would out me off but it is worth every penny. Comes with replacement blade as of yet I have not needed to replace mine and can't see me needing to for atleast 6 months, if not until one breaks. Stores well as it is magnetic so attaches well to the side of the machine.

Pros: looks good, build quality is great, extra set of needles, space saver design Cons: there’s no needle in the centre which makes the process longer. Needle thickness is 0.5 which is less flexible and not the best 0.35-.4 works the best, needle material is not stainless steel. Coffee would stick to the needles and when you retract it would add to cleaning time.

Quick delivery and good condition, great product

It’s worth it. It breaks up and distributes the coffee powder ready for tamping. Makes for a more consisttamp and therefore more consistent coffee .
