Ease of install and brightness.
This was a very easy install. They were easy to screw right into the existing light socket and provide incredible light. I would recommend these to anyone who is worried about security or just allowing the wife to see the garage before she drives up into it. Everything else was great on time. Quick delivery package well good stuff!

Nice LED Flood Light Bulb
I like these SHINESTAR 6-Pack Outdoor Flood Light Bulbs because they are bright and dimmable, so you can control brightness. They are made well, too!

Deceptive Product Description
I have ordered this product twice, for outdoor lighting. The on-line description, clearly states SHINESTAR 6-pack Outdoor Flood Light Bulb. Both times, the package we received states on the box, "Indoor Use Only. Keep away from sunshine and rainwater." not pleased at all.

Good first impression, but **CONFLICTING USE WARNINGS**
I have become something of a light bulb fanatic, constantly searching for LED bulbs that look and function as well as the reliable old incandescent bulbs that cost less and lasted for years. LED bulbs might be better for the environment, but they are more expensive and the majority I have used suffered from terrible quality control — inconsistent construction, flickering light, diminished brightness after minimal use, and/or premature demise. My first impression is that these Shinestar LED flood light bulbs are excellent. They were packaged very securely (see photo) and arrived in perfect condition. The product page says these 5000K bulbs emit 1600LM, but to my eyes, they appear brighter than the 1800LM 3000K bulbs I have been using in my backyard. The color/quality of the light is excellent — they produce a very clean, “white-white” light, with none of the industrial-looking bluish tones some 5000K bulbs produce. These bulbs are among the lightest-weight PAR38 bulbs I have used. I’m still not sure whether lightweight bulbs are a sign of advanced engineering or cheaper components, but the few other similarly lightweight bulbs I have used held up well, so I am hopeful that these will, too. The lens cover seems a bit thinner and less rugged than some other bulbs, but the pattern across the lens is consistent and produces very even light. (Some bulbs have odd-shaped designs etched into the lenses, creating uneven lighting and shadows.)These bulbs seem to be a very good value ($26.59/6-pack = $4.43/bulb, at time of order) compared to many other PAR38 bulbs which appear comparable in quality and performance.**THE ONE CONCERN I HAVE ABOUT THESE BULBS** is whether they are actually rated/safe for outdoor/wet use. (There is no indication on the bulbs themselves.) The product page says these bulbs are “perfect for the backyard.” Since most backyards are “outdoors,” I assumed these bulbs were wet-rated when I ordered them. However, the product box (see photo) says, “Indoor use only. Keep away from direct sunshine and rainwater leaching.” WTH?!?! Are these bulbs indoor bulbs or outdoor bulbs?! (Of course, the box also confusingly says the bulb is “nearly as bright as a 40w bulb,” but says “100W” right below that description (see photo), so I’m guessing no one bothered to proofread the packaging.) Since these bulbs look very similar to other wet-rated PAR38 bulbs I have used, and since the product page clearly states they are “perfect for the backyard,” I am going to assume that the packaging is incorrect. However, since rainy season is now many months away, I’ll have to wait a while to see how these bulbs fare in wet weather (assuming the dreaded “direct sunshine” doesn’t destroy them first).Personally, I’m very tired of the sloppy, inaccurate and inconsistent product descriptions, packaging and instructions so many sellers let slip past these days. Consumers need and deserve complete, accurate information. Therefore, I am deducting one star because this product clearly contains conflicting information on the product page and the shipping box; one of them is obviously incorrect.Based on the brightness, quality and color of the light these bulbs produce, I think they are worth trying. If they suffer a premature demise, melt from direct sunshine or explode from the rain, I will certainly update this review!4 stars for a product which seems to be excellent, but contains incorrect information on either the product page or the packaging.
