Five years ago, I was gifted an old Sony Bravia with no remote. I resisted buying a universal because I thought it might cost a lot of money. Also, I was (am) using streaming devices that came with their own remotes. However, I still had to get up for power, input and volume. After five years, it was getting old. I said, let me see what's out there. Found this. It worked immediately. No setup required. I think this will make my life easier 👍 The remote is lightweight but it feels sturdy.

My very old Sony TV was not listed, but I took a chance, worked right away, no programing required.All functions work correctly. Hope the cat does not puke on this one too... :-)

Works great with my older Sony Bravia model # KDL-40VL160. All I had to do was put in a couple of batteries. I bought this remote because of the easy access button for the SLEEP timer. Now I don’t have to wake up hours later with the TV still on. Very happy!

Works great no set up needed, but came with dead batteries in it so I doubt it’s new.
