I bought the 100 and it worked fine. I then started to do some thin ripping and purchased the 1/8" leg. That's been helpful although I did cut into part of the leg. It was my fault for not keeping adequate pressure on the gripper against the fence. I then bought the piece that turned the 100 into the 200. All in all I paid too much because I was trying to save a couple of bucks. I did notice today that Amazon has the 200 with the 1/8" leg on Prime for $79. If i had to do it again, I'd go with that. Hope this helps. **Q: I looked at the videos. Am I correct in assuming that you have to remove the blade guard in order to use this.??** A: No thanks, I'll keep my blade guard. The reply above is more Gripper propaganda. Blade guards are not useless impediments designed by lawyers. My blade guard has stopped many accidents and is clear so I can still see the kerf. **Q: What is the absolute minimum thickness the jig will cut? I need to rip 1/4" strips** A: One of the two legs of the GRR-RIPPER is just under 1/4” so out of the box it is fully capable of cutting 1/4” thick strips. We also sell an accessory 1/8” leg that allows for cutting strips down to 1/8” thick. Just remember that in either case, when cutting thin strips you want to use a Zero Clearance Insert to insure that your thin strip will not fall into the opening for the blade or the riving knife opening. **Q: How hard is it to level the jig when adjusting the side support?** A: Not hard. Just push the Gripper up against the fence and down on your piece. Only have two hands and ten fingers, all pretty important. So not interested in losing something to a table saw. Got two of these - often helps compared to one. They work really well. There are situations where push sticks work better, but not often. These are well worth getting. Also, and importantly, shout out to the company. One of them came with a defective screw that was a necessary item. Wrote to them, sent them a picture of the needed part (couldn’t see the problem but it was a particular screw I needed). Either same day or next (can’t remember) they got back to me and put a new part in the mail to me.
