40mm Big Bore Oil Shock Absorber for 1/24 SCX24 FCX24M Upgrade, 3.2g/Each(Black Aluminum & Nylon)

They work great. Excellent for scale builds (1/24). If you want better articulation and performance, get shocks with longer travel. These do bind up every now and then but I've gotten accustomed to pumping these shocks before use. Not necessarily a deal breaker but it would be great if they didn't have to be pumped manually to eliminate binding.

Love these shocks. I bought them for my SCX24 kk build and they worked perfectly. They are built with very high quality and functionality in mind. I absolutely love the way they look. The assembly and customization of them are as easy as it can get. I recommend these to anyone that maybe looking to upgrade their stock suspension.

OK so I have pretty much been through all of the shocks trying to get something decent for my SCX24 base camp. These are the best oil filled so far. They actually work really well. There is one con that nobody seems to mention in the other reviews, so maybe they sent me different size hardware.. but the ball joint inserts are too small. They give you two different sizes one extended ball joint so you can offset the shock and then there’s the smaller ball joints. The longer offset ones fit perfect but the smaller ones slip right through the shock body hole. Luckily for my application the shock stays on there because I have them connected to a dampener. But yeah the hardware doesn’t really fit. If you were to connect the shock straight to the chassis the shock will pop off. I put a couple photos in there showing how mine will stay on but if it wasn’t connected to the damper it would slip right off

I’ve been liking these a lot. I wanted to go with oil filled shocks and these seemed to be the most popular choice. I filled them with 20 wt oil and they’ve been working great. I’m running them with no springs on my FCX24M defender. They add a little extra weight, which is nice, and give a good amount of flex while still keeping the ride height low, which is exactly what I was going for.

These shocks are pretty amazing. Just need to make sure you fill them with the oil you want and then make sure everything is put back together and tightened up. All parts on the 1/24 scale crawlers are TINY so be aware that you'll need some really great skills in working with tiny objects

Best shocks for the price. Ease of use and very versatile shocks. I run the with the springs on my lightly modded c10 and it almost outperforms my performance builds on some obstacles. All about the mounting placement to help get more “flex”

Quality seems to be ok. You have to fill the shocks with oil and you really have to experiment with different weight oils and amount in each shock to fine tune it to your liking. It did give my truck the perfect lift for what I wanted to do with it. For the price I would buy them again over stock ones.

Bought for my FCX24M and they fit fine, they’re a bit fiddly to install on the chassis but once on they’re great. The original shocks and springs were very bouncy and had zero damping - in contrast these (with 30W silicone shock oil) have lovely smooth damping. They add a nice bit of weight too.

Nice shocks, very good quality but not the look I was going for on my scx24 gladiator. Gave it more of a lifted look. I was wanting extreme articulation and these have good articulation but not what I was looking for. Upgrades to telescopic shocks and removed the springs, stock height but crazy flex. Will run these normal shocks on another rig though so worth the money. Going onto my 1/18 crawler instead then I'll have good body clearance for big tires. Blue truck is 1/18
