Arrived beyond sell by, but a lovely product
Works great for porridge, just make to in the usual way (I use the microwave), but you can also cook with it. Although just out of date range, I'm happy with the quality, texture and flavour. I've not used barley flakes before, but this is a quality product. Many uses in the kitchen.

Use by date around 10 months away
This pack of Trend barley flakes can be used much as you might use oats. I've been mixing them with kefir, chia seeds, peanut butter or tahini and fruit for a tasty light meal. They are a bit denser than rolled oats so do require a bit more cooking or soaking time. The use by date on the packet I received is September 2025. The flakes are good quality and there isn't an excessive amount of dust contributing to the weight. I would like to see the company shift to sustainable packaging though. I personally wouldn't buy from them over companies that sell in readily recyclable packaging.
