I’m giving this salad sprout mix a full five stars because it’s been an absolute delight to grow and eat! As someone who loves adding fresh, nutrient-packed greens to my meals, this mix of organic broccoli, alfalfa, radish, and clover seeds from Nature Jims Sprouts has become a go-to in my kitchen. The 1-pound bag is a fantastic value, and growing my own microgreens has been both fun and rewarding. This mix is designed for sprouting, and it’s perfect for anyone looking to add a healthy twist to salads, sandwiches, or even smoothies. The seeds are certified organic and non-GMO, which gives me confidence in their quality. They’re super easy to grow, and they sprout in just about five days. I used a simple mason jar with a sprouting lid, and the clear instructions made the process a breeze. My experience with these seeds has been fantastic. I soaked them for about six hours, then rinsed and drained them twice a day. By day three, I had a jar full of vibrant, lush sprouts ready to eat. I love the flavor mix—there’s a mild, fresh taste from the alfalfa and clover, a slight nuttiness from the broccoli, and a spicy kick from the radish. Personally, I’m a huge fan of radishes, so I let some of my sprouts grow a bit longer to get that bold, radishy bite, which adds a fantastic zing to my salads. For anyone who isn’t into that stronger radish flavor, I’d suggest harvesting earlier, around day four or five, when the taste is milder and less intense. What I loved most is the germination rate and yield. Almost every seed sprouted, and a single tablespoon gave me a dense bunch of microgreens—way more than I’d get from a pricey store-bought pack. The resealable bag keeps the seeds fresh, and I’ve had no issues with mold or duds. Plus, it’s such a cost-effective way to boost my veggie intake with vitamins and minerals. The only minor thing to note is that the radish sprouts can grow faster than the others, so you might need to trim them if you want a balanced mix. But honestly, that’s easy to manage with a pair of scissors. I’d recommend this mix to anyone looking to grow their own nutrient-packed greens. It’s perfect for health-conscious eaters, home gardeners, or anyone who loves a fresh, flavorful salad. I’ll definitely be buying this again!

First time buyer and I will be back for more. They sprouted so fast! Very very few duds. So yummy. I love this mix.

This is my fifth purchase. This particular product is organic and always sprout, so I keep buying them. When I don't have enough vegetables in my fridge or I'm too busy to go shopping, I use these seeds to make sprouts. They're a mix of different seeds, so they're not too spicy and have just the right flavor. My kids can eat them without any problems. To prepare them, soak them overnight and drain them the next morning. A dark place is best. Rinse them every time you pass through the kitchen and they will be ready to eat in about 3 days. If you don't have time, you can eat them as is, but if you have time, leave them in a sunny spot for about half a day on the 4th day so they can photosynthesize and have more nutrients. I have never had a case where they didn't sprout after doing this. Buying a small bag of organic sprout mix at a store or local farmer's market could cost about $10 here, but I can make a big jar for less than a dollar. Also, store bought sprouts don't last long, so it's great to be able to make your own. By the way, I store the unused seeds at room temperature. In the past I have refrigerated or even froze them. I learned that storing them at room temperature on my kitchen counter does not affect the quality. The only problem with this product is that sometimes the sprouts contain seeds that did not sprout and if you bite into them, they could hurt your teeth. You would need to use a colander or something similar to separate the unsprouted seeds before consuming. Other than that, it's a great product. I will buy it again!

I am super excited for this sprouts mix. I experimented with a small amount of seeds (1.5 tbsp) to see how much I get. I started this on Monday and today is Wednesday. It has grown so much in a very short period of time. I will tell you that some of the seeds are very small and it did go through my mesh lid (I chose plastic cause I read the metal lids tends to get rusty). I will try with cheese cloth next time. The video explaining how to start the sprouts is very straight forward and tells you what to do. The sprout mixture had several varieties in it. I've washed the sprout mixture several times a day and there is no lingering smell or rot of any kind as long as you tilt the jar like it says in the video tutorial.
