Marine Metal 5Gal Lid with Bubble Box Aerator Lb-11

I'm on my second one of these. The lid of the first one finally disintegrated after about a decade of use. The blower still worked, in spite of the case beginning to fall apart. The batteries last forever.

This lets me easily turn a 5g bucket into a safe way to transport my fish, as well as an emergency qt or hospital tank. I like that the top snaps on securely to the bucket, and still has easy access via the hinges lid. The edge of the top has multiple holes for running things like airline and heater into the bucket while allowing the lid to be securely closed. It also has slots around the edges for hanging a net, clipping an air pump, and any other little tools you may need to keep with your fish bucket. The air pump! I cannot say enough good things about it! It has saved my butt during power outages and equipment failures. It runs for DAYS on two fresh D batteries, but can run on a single battery just fine in a pinch, with as much power, just not as long. And it is reasonably quiet. It makes a low buzz that is quieter than any of my whisper pumps once you hook the airline up. It may sound like the motor is running slow, but it has very good output. I recently had a whisper 100 dual output air pump have BOTH diaphragms fail. I had not realized how loud it was getting or how little air it was putting out until I hooked this Bubble Box up instead! I used a T connection on my airline and hooked it up to both sides of my UGF in a fairly deep tank. It is running it better and quieter than the other pump ever did! Three days and still going on the same batteries. I’m going to be getting more of these!

These lids are a must buy if you are moving and transporting fish. We bought two of them and they worked great for 2-3 days until we could put together our fish tank at our new place.

Works great only gave it four stars cause it’s a bit noisy. I use this to move my aquarium fish 12 Hour Drive. And did not put them in the aquarium till the next day not one fish died.

This top is awesome. It's a great top. I just wish it had a few more hanging ports on the rim. But besides that, it's a great purchase. It fits my 5 gallon bucket with ease. Very secure lid and very sturdy. They say you can use the top for a cutting board, But I do not advise that, otherwise it's great. when it comes to The aerating stone I would go to your local pet shop and pick up the oval shape ones. They release a lot of bubble, great product for the price very good.
