Vacmaster VOC812SF 1101 8-Gallon Premium Stainless Steel Wet/Dry Vacuum, Red Edition, 8 Gal

I haven’t used it yet but these are just the things I like/dislike out of the box. I love the wider canister. My previous 5 gallon vac was taller and thinner which didn’t allow for much bag expansion. Speaking of bags - I wish they had included a sample bag so I could use the unit. I don’t like dust going into the filter. Bags are available online, but one to get started would have been nice (My Christmas tree is dropping needles!) I love that they provide 3 sections of wand so you can reach under the bed and aren’t bent over when you vacuum . It has a nice long cord. This has the same motor as my previous vac so I’m assuming it will pick up dirt and dog hair just as well. If it doesn’t, I’ll edit this review. I hate the way the top part attaches to the canister. These tabs are difficult to release. A clip system is much easier to use. The wheels are spread apart nicely so it is more stable and won’t tip over as easily. Price was right! On sale! I mainly use it on my linoleum floors and cleaning out my truck so the attachments are handy. So the pros for me outweigh the cons and the price was right so I guess I’ll keep it! Update: I have used it a week and I love it. The motor is super powerful so the suction is terrific - even on short pine needles from the Christmas tree. Would definitely recommend.

I have a large shop vac, was looking for something a little smaller for messes inside. Vacuum work great, no suction issues, very easy to put together, lots of attachments, quality made, not very expensive either. Holds alot and easy to empty. Definitely, quieter than the big one, moves easily across any floor and very powerful too

I HAVE NEVER LOVED A VACUUM MORE. It never loses suction & it has a HUGE dust bin. Plus it’s pretty. Shiny and black and red. We have multiple pets and regular vacuums just do not cut it. I can vacuum the entire house multiple times without emptying the dust bin. This rolls around with you so you aren’t carrying anything and I can vacuum all day without getting tired. I hate uprights. Your arm is falling off after vacuuming the house! Plenty of attachments, but I did order an upholstery attachment separately for $9 here on Amazon that works great. It’s also a wet vac too so good to know if I ever need to suck up water, I surely can. Never had to yet lol but still. Buy this. It’s less expensive than most household vacuums and performs 10x better than a Dyson IMO. I initially had to borrow my husbands shop vac when mine died and was mad he was hiding this from me my whole life lol & I bought a shiny new one for the house. I don’t know why anyone would ever buy anything BUT a shop vac now.

This vacuum has very good suction and easy to maneuver. However, I’d wish the handle came pre attached since it’s a process to screw in. Also, how do I vacuum the carpet successfully without detaching the extenders? That most likely is due to the strong suction.. also would like to know the deal with the included bag? It seems like it doesn’t go with the vac

Excellent wet/dry vac. I use it as a dedicated wet vac to keep my epoxy coated garage floors clean. I slop on a lot of nice hot water and scrub with a mop and then vac up all of the water. Works great. My only issue is that the two wands that come with this vac are too short for me to use without bending over and I'm only 5'6". I tried to order an addition wand tube section from Vacmaster but they were out of stock. I ended up buying one piece of "Rigid" wand from Home Depot, which seems to work fine but doesn't fit into the Vacmaster mounting holes for storage. Still, better than a sore back. Highly recommend the vac.

Great for the price. This has no problem removing sanding dust, regular dirt, or larger debris around the garage and the house. It is much smaller, at 5 gallons, than my previous 16 gallon shop vac, but it is also much lighter and easy to store. It has good enough suction for everyday jobs and for home improvement and home woodworking tasks. It would probably work well for a single sander, but would be underpowered for whole shop or multi tool dust collection. An aftermarket HEPA filter would be a great add on, as the lack of fine particle filtration out of the box would be my only complaint.

I'm really impressed by this. Granted, I'm not an expert on shop vacs. But I have gotten ALOT of use out of this since getting it. Sucked up dirt and water in large amounts. There is a different kind of filter you switch when using predominantly dirt or water, but the suction is STRONG and overall, it's just easy to use and doesn't seem to "complain" about anything. I would definitely purchase again if I needed it.

This 8 gallon, 6 HP shop vac is awesome! I have bunnies and anyone who knows bunnies, knows hay gets everywhere. It also clogs and breaks most all vacuums on the market. Well this one gets the job done with ease. No clogs and even gets the embedded hay out of the carpet. Powerful suction, large hose width and the wheels are great for mobility. I highly recommend this shop vac. I imagine if it works on hay, it will also work as intended.

It is lightweight and rolls easily. It fits well into the “broom” closet. It does a really good job of picking up crumbs and bits of paper etc. It is safe to use on wet messes. The nozzle fits places like between the bed and the wall. We use it on bare hardwood, laminate and vinyl. It’s not terribly noisy but I don’t want to pay for sound proofing. I want it to clean and that’s what it does.

Great for a quick clean up. A longer extension cord would have helped.
