It actually works surprisingly well!
I was skeptical of ordering because I hadn’t heard of ‘arre’ and there were little or no reviews at the time, but I decided to take the plunge because this is one of the first truly ‘Works with Matter’ buttons or switches on the market that does not have to be hardwired. The build quality feels really good, nice clicky button, and it attaches to a magnetic plate that you can mount to your place of choosing. This means it can also directly attach to magnetic materials without needing the backplate. Comes with a mounting sticker for the backplate or screws for a stronger hold. Setup was incredibly simple over matter in the Apple Home app, and you are given 3 functions for the button: single press, double press, long press. These are easily mappable directly to other Home accessories or you can ‘convert to shortcut’ at the bottom of the editing menu to write a shortcut. I made an ‘if’ statement for my smart lock so if it is locked it will unlock, and unlock if locked so I can mount a button on the inside of my door frame. There’s no direct assignment of the shortcut if you already have one set up in the shortcuts app (as of iOS 18.1), but I think you could execute another shortcut from the shortcut you write in the home app. Note, this is a limitation of Apple Home at this time, not the button. The button also has a red LED that blinks when pressed, and other Matter accessories (Aqara U200 smart lock, also great!) have been responding in about 2 seconds from the press. It comes with a pack of stickers with different icons you can put on the button to indicate what it controls. They come in black and white, but there’s no way you could see the white on the button (unless maybe they glow in the dark?). Can’t say about battery life but will update this if it becomes an issue. It is replaceable by popping the back cover off and putting in a fresh CR2032. Overall very satisfied and will be ordering a few more for around the apartment. I was pleasantly surprised that arra blew my expectations out of the water for a Matter enabled button.

Died after 4 months
I bought this button back in June 2025. Was easy enough to set up, and worked ok. It's about 10 ft from my Apple TV, but sometimes it would randomly not work and then work again the next day. Well, now it's November and it has stopped working all together. I swapped the battery but that didn't do anything. It won't pair to Apple Home. Seems to be a pattern with these no-name smart home devices. So I bought a Hue button. Works like a charm. I started migrating my entire smart home to Philips Hue and haven't had a single issue with it. I don't know if it's Matter, Thread or this silly button. But what I do know is that it's better to skip the headache of puzzling together smart home devices on a half-baked standard when you could just pay a little more and get everything from Philips. Between all the devices that turned into garbage after just months of use (it's not like this button is the only offender out there), going with Hue in the first place would have been cheaper and pain-free.

Fantastic Wireless Button for Homekit Users
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are great little buttons. With an Apple HomePod Mini as the thread border router, it pairs flawlessly and quickly. Never knew I needed these, but now it's my wife's favorite part of home automation! I have seven of these little switches and they have been rock-solid. I had an issue with one switch going briefly non-responsive. I got in touch with the company and received an almost immediate response. The button is now back on line and functioning perfectly. Things I really appreciate about the design: (1) a built-in magnet for mounting directly to a metal surface (like a refrigerator), or to the included metal plate, which is itself affixed with an self adhesive strip to any surface you want. (2) an LED that gives you feedback for button presses (3) an excellent tactile response to being pressed-- "clicky" in a good way. (4) Because the button attaches magnetically to a metal plate, even a button whose plate is permanently affixed to a wall can be lifted off easily to replace the battery. I shop Amazon VERY frequently, and I think this is the first time I've ever left a review. Kudos to Arre for such a great product!

Best smart button
This button is the coolest button. I have a Samsung monitor in my dining room that I use for a secondary computer and my should tv. The probably is that you have to go through so many menus to change inputs on the remote. I event installed the new aqara m200 hub on that desk. Found a remote function to easily turn on the monitor and switch inputs. I don't want to use aqara zigbee buttons because I use that for my zigbee network on Home assistant. Couldn't find an integration where I could switch inputs as fast, only the aqara app. I was about to add this button to home assistant but the automations didn't work. Also about to add to the aqara app. Man, this button works as intended. Love the size and the different methods of mounting. Wish I can replace all my buttons but I have too many

Neat product, but response is laggy. If you want one - buy direct, its cheaper than amazon.
When I first tried to pair it failed. I swapped out the battery and then it's fine. That alone would be forgivable, but a couple weeks after setup I started noticing lag. Now when I tap the button it takes about 10-12 seconds for my home to respond. I sent a message but based on what Im reading in these reviews Im not too hopeful. I only gave 3 stars because I have tried to develop my own similar version of this product and I can honestly say that getting the coding right is VERY VERY difficult. They get an extra 2 stars because they got something out the door that soooorta works, and I support that. Also dont buy these on amazon they are cheaper on Arre's website (24.95 plus ~$5 for shipping). Disappointingly that signals to me there will be an Arre 2.0 coming out soon and we early adopters may be hosed.

These little buttons are awesome. Works well with apple home. Wish it was a but easier to get at the battery and it would communicate the battery status with an app but that seems to be an apple home limitation. All in all great little buttons
