It’s a doggone sword!
My bad, I should’ve read the description closer, this bad boy is long and dull as a dinner plate. I’ve got a belt sander so shaping the sharp uncomfortable handle was a breeze, same with sharpening the blade. For the price I’m surprised anyone complained in these comments. It clearly states it’s dull (yes, you can’t even cut wet paper, it has no edge whatsoever). Maybe that’s for shipping purposes to and from different countries. Regardless, it’s almost comical how long it is. The steel is quite carbon steel so be sure to dry it off before storing or it’ll rust (I’m guessing 1060 or 1075 monosteel)? If you’re looking for a relatively lightweight long blade that you can personalize like a Cold Steel axe that isn’t to whippy and solidly built then this is too good to pass up. If you’re looking for a ready to go machete then swipe left.

Great machete
This is actually a Martindale blade. It has great weight and cuts great once you put your own edge on it.

Blade was dull, handle was rough.
The blade had no edge. It would not cut an apple right out of the box. The handle is very uncomfortable, especially when the dull blade hits something like a branch on a tree. You will need to spend a LOT of time reshaping the bevel and putting an edge on the blade. The blade was so dull, I thought it might be a movie prop.

Needs sharpening
Had for about a month. Good tool. Wish it came already sharpened or at least being warned about needing to sharpen it. I had to buy a bench grinder to be able to use it.

machete
dog gone good. After ocd'n on machetes I've come to the opinion that the Martindale Crocodile brand is by far better than most. To me this Asian beauty is definitely better than any southern hemisphere brands in it's price range. I have 4 crocs now and all will take a knife sharp edge with not that much effort. All have excellent balance even this huge beast of a machete.

Don't buy I want them all
OMG! Great product. Length is legit. Solid if rough handle. Good steel.

This is a good choice.
Very nice machete, blade seems tough after a bit of use in the yard and the grip is solid.
