She loves it! It’s so easy to put on and take off and seems nice and warm, wind and water proof. It seems it would fit a wide range in sizing. Feels very well made and sturdy.

This is a beautiful coat for a dog. If you like Carhartt feel Carhartt quality you will like this. it’s a quilted close fitting coat not big or bulky. My dog feels comfortable, looks great in it. He is 91 pounds one years old and wearing an extra large.At first, I thought it was way too big but the strong Velcro helped me adjust it. There is a little hang on the Velcro around his abdomen., but I know he will fill out, if I was inclined I could put another layer under it.

Absolutely love it. We got this for our 100 lb lab and it fits him perfectly. Easy on and off and very well made. No straps under his back legs! And he seems to be very comfortable and warm! The other dog is his best friend/neighbor and he also has his Carhartt coat on.

My dog loves her coat. She will stand still while I put it on her. I like the nice wide velcroe areas around the neck and belly for secureing the coat. The coat seems warm and is perfect whether your pup is male or female. It appears well made and I like the reflective strip on each side. We are in northern Alabama so the coat is perfect weight for our weather. I know you are paying for the Carhart name but I do like the quality of the coat better than others we have purchased. I feel like it is of the same quality as my Carhart coats and good value for the money.

To give you a little body size. We adopted a 11month old pocket bully/Terrier Mix. 53lbs. Big chest short body lenght. The coat fits great around the neck/chest. All other coats would not fit at the chest area. The chest area was on the belly. This one fits perfect and he can.grow into it. It's too long in length but that's fine. It keeps him warmer

I bought the Carhartt Firm Duck Dog Chore Coat in Deep Wine, size Medium, for my American Pitbull Terrier puppy and it has been a great layer for NYC weather. My dog’s measurements are roughly neck 16, chest 22 and back 17 inches. According to the tag, that puts her at the very bottom of the medium range, and that is exactly how it fits. The coat sits securely around her chest with room to grow and the back panel sticks out a bit past her butt, which I actually like for a growing pup. If your dog is already fully grown with similar measurements, just know the medium may hang a little long in the back. The material feels like classic Carhartt: sturdy, firm duck canvas on the outside with an insulated lining. It is rated as a “3” on their warmth scale and I would agree. On its own it keeps my dog comfortable on cool to cold days, but for real NYC winter or windy days I pair it with a dog sweater or onesie underneath for extra warmth and coverage. Used as an outer shell over another layer, it does a good job blocking wind and keeping her body heat in without restricting movement. The quality is what you expect from Carhartt. The straps are easy to adjust and stay in place, and the reflective piping is a nice touch for evening walks. The Deep Wine color looks amazing in person, but it does pick up lint and dog hair around the collar area. The upside is that it wipes or lint-rolls off easily, so it still looks neat after a quick clean. Overall, I think the Carhartt Firm Duck Dog Chore Coat is a great buy if you want a durable, workwear-style coat and have the budget for it. It shines as a tough outer layer paired with something softer and warmer underneath. If you are on a tight budget and want maximum warmth and belly coverage in a single piece, you can probably find something thicker for less money, but it likely will not feel as durable as this. Hopefully my pup’s measurements and experience help you decide if this coat is the right fit for your dog.

SO good looking! Yet totally durable and the repels the water and snow. Also the ribcage strap is in the correct place for them to potty comfortably. Also wide Velcro front so not pressure points or discomfort like so many. Well made! Well designed! 🥂

This coat was great for my 45 pound pit mix. I first thought it might be too big, but was happy that it covered his butt fully. It really held his body warmth yet was light enough not to hinder his play. He was afraid of the velcro, at first, but got used to it right away so it was very easy to put on and take off. He got a lot of compliments.

Good article.but a lot of size difference between large and extra large. My dog weighs 30 kg but the extra large was too big for his waist but perfect for his back length. The large was more like a medium. I have a mens carhartt jacket in the same colour so i think we look pretty cool.

Bought this for my son‘s dog. It fits great, thick, warm, durable. Easy to clean. Carhartt brand is one of the best-pricier but tough and not worried about wearing out and having to replace.

Well made, adjustable and stays put. Single coat Catahoulas both seem to appreciate the warmth. Bought another for our senior dog. Would recommend.
