Review: Do not count on support - We install smart locks every week from Yale, Kwikset and Schlage. We have done August and Baldwin also. We have done a couple Danalocks. On the latest job it will not cooperate. The Danapad will not activate the lock even though we can see it in the app. The only tech support is by email and four weeks in they still have not responded to multiple email request. Now it is too late to return it to desertcart.

However, I am delighted we decided to give it a go! The Danalock V3 is silver and has a sleek and minimalistic appearance. The lock is effortless to install and has a very comprehensible installation guide (PLEASE READ IT). In all, the physical installation process only took us about 5-10 minutes. Software took a few minutes to set up (BE SURE TO UPDATE ALL FIRMWARE) but was working great after all updates were installed and we understood how to the navigate the app. Another great feature about this lock is that you can grant access to family and friends by adding them via a link! There is also a lock assist feature which allows you to begin to turn the lock and a motor will take over. It is cool, but a doesn't work 100% of the time. We don't use this feature a ton, so it's not a deal breaker! Overall, this product is really great and I would recommend to anyone with a front door!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Danalock V3 Bluetooth & Z-Wave Lock

I bought this lock to integrate with my home automation system (Homeseer HS3) via Z-wave. Installation of the hardware was relatively easy. However, regarding inclusion in my Z-wave network, I had some issues getting this working, when I followed the instructions and used the android app to include it in my Z-wave network. After struggling for some time, I contacted customer support via email. They are in Denmark and responded quickly. It turned out that including the device via the app does not work, yet. One has to activate the Z-wave inclusion process via the lock's hardware. Also, locking and unlocking with Bluetooth works well, although you need to be relatively close to the device. I don't think I was able to get the geofencing working, but I did not spend much time on this feature. That's because I have various geofencing features integrated into my home automation system. I am not certain about battery life, yet, since it has been operational for less than 1 month. I did notice initially a very rapid decrease in battery charge. I turned off auto-locking and geofencing, because of this drain. The percent charge on the battery seems to have stabilized (and even increased slightly - I'm not sure how that happens). In any case this lock is attractive and seems well-made. I gave it 4/5 stars mainly because of the Z-wave installation issue.
