Better HDR on this one.
Part one had a HDR issue. This one doesn't. Looks great. Dated movie but still a classic.

Great transfer of a classic 80's film
Great transfer of a classic 80's slasher. The sound is descent as well for such a low budget film but it's the picture that impresses as it's very filmic with a fine layer of grain. Overall a great addition to the 4k slasher film collection

Jason returns
5 years after the events of the first film, Jason returns to hunt the latest guests at Camp Crystal Lake. Picking up at the end of the first film then jumping ahead 5 years later, this is a proper introduction to iconic movie villain Jason Voorhees. His mother was the actual killer of the first film with Jason just glimpsed as a boy but here he is as an adult played here by Warrington Gillette who doesn't speak a word or reveal his face but is still a very menacing and terrifying figure who ruthlessly hunts his victims. Admittedly the teenage cast here lead by Amy Steel are little more than disposable victims for Jason to kill, the gore count and blood is higher than the first film but it is still very tense. Strictly for horror fans only, not quite as good as the classic original film but an enjoyable and worthy follow up.

The best slasher franchise continues its 4k run
The 4k looks outstanding its the best the movie has ever looked. Here's hoping we see the next few sequels also hit 4k. Paramount did a great job with this release. For all the Friday fans it is a must grab.

PACKANACK LODGE
This is the R1 print of Friday the 13th pt 2.It's the widescreen deluxe edition & thepicture quality is quite nice. Said picture fillsall the screen on a modern TV, so "sack boy"(he hasn't found his hockey mask just yet)has grown up, but he really doesn't look thatimposing. As we all know, he becomes "proper Jason"in pt 3. Another bunch of teens go messing where theyshouldn't be messing, and we get to see the results. Some decent fx & you have yourself a great Friday flick. Not watched extras yet, but here's whats on the back ofthe box: Inside Crystal Lake memories, Fridays Legacy: Horrorconventions, Lost Tales from the camp pt2 (pt1 is on first film),Jason Forever. The special features are 'not rated'.The looong flashback takes the pi$$. R-rated 86mins.1981 a smashing year
