Ok let’s start with the fact that this thing is under $5. Even an expensive lock is no match for someone wanting to break it, so I’d think twice before trusting my helmet to this. That said, I’ll bring my helmet with me if I plan to be in for a while or the area looks shady. This lock though serves the purpose of letting me keep the helmet on the bike if I’m across the parking lot and still see the bike or planning a quick run in and out. It’s easy to set up and easy to use and way better than just hanging my helmet over the mirror and trusting it will be there when I get back.
