Just popped my first 5 pieces! Not bad. I happen to like the flavor! Pine & citrus . . . over an hour & still going strong. Took the picture and it was crunchy when I put it back in my mouth. Gets a little crunchy if I mouth breathe. Not a fan of that, but it's not a quality thing, just a testament to the fact that I tend to run cold. I took a picture so you can see what 5 pieces will really net you. A lot of the reviews I read mentioned 5 pieces, but dang! I'm recommending 8-10 to get a normal-sized wad. I'm not looking to get a chisled jaw. I just want something to do with my mouth because I have a pretty idle job. Sometimes I get dry mouth & I'm tired of sucking on water or soda or coffee. I'll try and update after a few shifts, but so far it's doing what I need it to. Good flavor, something to chew when bored & keeps mouth from going dry. Also helps focus on nasal breathing as opposed to the mouth breathing I'm trying to get away from. Definitely recommend to anyone!

I am disappointed that they have changed this product without mentioning it and utilizing the same reviews from before. This is my 4th time purchasing. The first 3 times, I received small pebbles of pure mastic gum. I would pour about 1/2 tsp in my hand and toss it into my mouth. It would take some time to allow the pebbles to soften a bit and start chewing. They started out crunchy and ended up as wax. The flavor was very pronounced and not especially pleasant, but I knew it was authentic. If I took the ball of wax out of my mouth and set it aside, it would harden again. This new formula contains gum sized pieces, still rock shaped (artificially, I'm sure). They are pliable, the taste is barely detectable, and once I start chewing it, it gets all stuck in my teeth. It clearly has other ingredients added to it. I had already switched from Jarrow capsules to this product because Jarrow did the same thing. They changed to tablets without letting the consumers know, and they kept the positive reviews for the capsules, even though their product was no longer effective. Very disappointing. I will be returning this product and finding another brand. Again.

First time trying this gum. Flavor is fairly neutral with a piney undertone. Fun to chew, seems to exercise jaw muscles. My only reason for 4 stars is that it can cut your tongue a bit. Try not to use your tongue to move it around in your mouth too much or you may end up with microscopic cuts that take a few days to heal. Also only chewing a few pellets helps avoid that - larger wads seem to cut more.

So I'm looking for top grade chewy gum like pebbles. Thinking what the heck when I first got it. So I tried it, kinda feels you're putting gravel in your mouth for a few minutes, lol then the difference comes in to play. It turns into a waxy piece and you do what it's designed for, chew. And chew. It's a cool experience. Yes helped in the chewing. But another expected surprise us how clean it makes my teeth feel afterwards. I wouldn't make it a habit but your are so clean from chewing on this, you really wouldn't have to brush. Flavor is not sweet or flavorful, it tastes like wax resin would taste. I think that it does somehow clean bad breath, like cleans your mouth, or maybe it is the saliva generated when chewing, I'm not a scientist or dentist. But it helps chewing, strengthening my jaw, with a weird flavor but not bad, neutral really, you can reuse it. I do it for about 20-39 minutes before bed or mud afto in lieu of Abad food craving, lol. Itt takes your focus off unnecessary snacking. My jaw had improved, my teeth fell extra clean after and it's a good time killer.

Not what I expected maybe that’s my bad but it tastes soo bad the texture before all the way chewed is like grainy kind of. I would return but there is no returns for this product.

This is the first Mastic gum I’ve ever tried. If you’re looking for something really tough to chew, this gets as tough as you want it to be. I’m assuming that you’re chewing this for jawzercise or you’d be buying Juicy Fruit or Trident. If you’re looking for hard chewing, this is a winner. Note that the jar it comes in is very small. You don’t get a lot of gum but I expect that the idea is that you chew the same gum over and over. I’m guessing here. If you pull your old gum out (having put the jar in the fridge or freezer to keep bacteria to a minimum), the previously chewed gum becomes harder to chew. My jaws definitely ached and they definitely became stronger and more defined. Be careful if your jaws are out of alignment like mine; you will bite your gums , cheek, and tongue. Chew slowly. Also, don’t drink anything cold. The warm gum will harden immediately and break into tiny pieces that you need to warm up before they can be molded in to one chewable piece again. At some point, you’ll need to throw away the old piece and start fresh with a new jar. How long you chew the old, hard, flavorless piece is up to you. I will buy this again.

When received, the jar lid was broken, but this appeared to have happened in transit and it was in a sealed bag. I asked and was advised no returns, so I decided to go ahead and try this gum. The size of the jar is very tiny (like a quarter size around and maybe 1.5 inches tall).....and so are the pieces of gum, but it is packed full of them. I like that it looks like tree sap and I am convinced that this is a totally natural product. As others have said, you will need several pieces and will need to roll them around in your mouth and keep them covered with saliva for about 5 minutes or more. Then, what I did was to lightly bite down, little by little while continuing to roll the pieces around in my mouth until it softened up enough to chew. The taste is very mild and to me, not bad at all, relatively tasteless. Once softened, it is not at all hard to chew. When I got tired of it, I decided to see if I could keep that piece and reuse it. Yes I could, but strangely, the wad seemed to break apart in my mouth and I had to go through the process above all over again. Since this is my only experience with this type of gum, I am not sure how to rate it.

Exactly as desribed. Have not had the clumping issue and I still have after >1 year.

It was all clumped together But o was able to use it.
