Poorly written
Very poorly written One single microbe is written divided in 3-4 different locations and under different disease Such a waste of money Very very poorly written book Can’t directly find a particular bacteria or virus at one particular place in detail Very very poorly written and arranged book

Necessary Mess
Necessary, because of trend, that almost all seniors begin chanting "anna... anna... annu... pani" when juniors, ask for academic book suggestion, believing it to be some sort of standard. Well the truth is that after 8th edition, it is no longer a standard textbook. Better books, in terms of updated-essential content are there. Plus, it has become more messy-confuzing-scattered, after NMC competency based syllabus came. The NMC syllabus is not meant to force institutions-professors-authors to reorganize the topics in books. It was meant to just ensure the students are competent on the enlisted topics, thats it, in order to demote rote-learning. Reorganizing, I mean scattering, topics here there, in order to make it look clinically oriented, is not the means to ensure student become competent in medical sciences. Anyways, whatever however 1star it is, person must, has to, necessary to go through it to... to not miss a single line that frienemy might have read, in a competitive world :)
