This is a good product for cleaning items like rugs where they would otherwise warp if a wet and dry vacuum cleaner is used on them. You do need to thoroughly brush the powder into the rug and leave for about 15 red before vacuuming to get the best results. The 650g bag is good for about two uses on a fairly large rug. The item I received was damaged such that the label that seals the bag had come off and half of the powder ended up in the shipping box, but Amazon gave me a refund so I can't complain. I got about a single use out of what was left in the bag, so all is good. Certainly can't fault Amazon Customer Services, even if it is primarily a bot.

I have given this Vanish Oxi Action four stars due to the fact it is very messy. You definitely can not avoid the mess. It is easy to use. I used it for my off white rug. I have three dogs, the rug needed a clean. It is one of the cheap rugs that you can't put in the wash etc. I put it all over my rug which did go all over my wooden flooring. Hoovered and cleaned the wooden floor afterwards. I left the Vanish down for 25 minutes. Results are good. Smells nice, I left the window open for ventilation has instructed.

I always use this to clean carpets, but I can not always get it from the shops. I swear by it, it brings my carpets up clean & soft. You have to put work into it. As you have to hoover the floor firstly, then sprinkle on the powder & brush into the carpet with a hard brush & leave for 20 minutes before hoovering. Luckily I only have upstairs carpets & only have to clean the stairs, the landing & the aisles in the bedrooms. between the beds. Even that is knackering. But it is a cheap method of bringing the carpets up really nice. If I had several rooms with a large expanse of space, I think I would be inclined to just do one room at a time. I found my conventional hoovers could not handle the abundance of powder. Which is why I brought a very cheap wet & dry vacumn, that can collect building debris & water too & this easily picks up this powder. These vacumns are from £55-£90 in Argos or screwfix. I use one of these vacumns to hoover all floors laminate too.

I got this product with the purpose of lifting easy tot clean dirt from the carpet. Also, to give the carpet a refresh. I didn’t expect miracles from this as opposed to a full carpet steam. However, this product definitely did a good job at making the carpet fresh again. The powder itself comes out damp and is easy to brush into the carpet, it dries quickly on a summers day and vacuumed out easily too. The bag itself although resealable can be messy and it’s best to use all the contents or empty into a container. The carpet still looks slightly better but still isn’t to the standard of a steam clean. But, for the price it does a good enough job and leaves a nice smell. A must for this is to purchase a soft brush that can help perk the powder into the carpet. For a larger carpet a larger brush is recommended as this will take a lot of effort to brush in. All in all, a cheaper and easier fix to refreshing your carpets.

Fabulous product! Easy to apply and carpets came up lovely even though the stains were old and dried in. Have tried other carpet cleaners in this price range but they haven’t worked as well, excellent value for money.

So only giving this product 4 stars as it doesn’t work well with tough stains but works well on lighter stains like spillages it has a nice smell to it as well so yh other then that I can’t complain really

Smells nice omg I didn’t know you had to bush it in carpet very messy hard work I shacked and squeezed the bag still lumpy bits I was expecting ultra fine powder guessing because it’s wet makes it lumpy very good value just did living room and hallway still some leftover too much effort to do.
