Exceptional value for money - Near FF look on APSC
Love this lens. F1.2 APS-C delivers a near-full frame look. I have shot stills with it on my A6700 and my filmed using the FX30s commercially. Whilst there isn't an aperture ring or a CF button, it is still a well made, not too bulky in size, Lightweight, fast prime that is not only quick off the mark for focusing. but delivered a decent focal length with balanced contrast. I also have the Full Frame 85mm 1.4 Auroura which is quite spectacular for the price.

Insane quality
For the price it is the best 23mm I could get. Superior to any similar lenses I tried on a6700

The Affordable Bokeh Beast
I’ve had some time to shoot with the Sirui Sniper 75mm f/1.2, and here’s my honest take. This lens punches way above its price point in many areas, though it’s not without a few trade-offs. What I Like: • Bokeh Beast – If you’re after creamy, dreamy backgrounds, this lens delivers. That f/1.2 aperture creates stunning subject separation. • Insanely Competitive Price – The price tag is almost half of what competitors are charging for similar fast primes. It’s a no-brainer for budget-conscious creators. • Lightweight & Portable – Despite the large aperture, the lens feels surprisingly light, making it easy to carry for long shoots. • Solid Build Quality – It feels well-constructed and durable in hand. • Sleek Design – The aesthetic is modern and clean. Plus, it comes in three color options, which is a nice touch for those who like to match their gear. • Fast Autofocus – Autofocus is quick and reliable, especially impressive for a third-party lens at this price point. What I Don’t Like: • Slightly Less Sharp Than Viltrox – Sharpness is good, but if you’re pixel-peeping, the Viltrox equivalent might edge it out slightly. That said, the difference is minimal and not noticeable in most real-world use. • No Weather Sealing – Would’ve been nice to have some protection against the elements. • No Image Stabilization – You’ll need to rely on in-body stabilization or a steady hand/tripod. • Limited Physical Controls – No aperture ring, and no manual/AF switch. These omissions limit flexibility for some shooting styles. My Experience: One hiccup worth mentioning—while the lens was advertised for next-day delivery, it arrived a day late. Not a huge issue, but something to keep in mind if you’re on a tight schedule. Final Thoughts: The Sirui Sniper 75mm f/1.2 is an incredible value. It’s perfect for portrait shooters who want shallow depth of field and a unique look without spending a fortune. While it’s missing a few pro features, the performance-to-price ratio is hard to beat. If you can live with its minor drawbacks, this lens is an absolute gem.
