Apple Watch 10 GPS version - Worth it
Upgrading from the Apple Watch 3 to the Apple Watch 10 has been an incredible leap forward. The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous display—it’s massive compared to the Series 3 and so much brighter and sharper. It’s easier to read messages, navigate apps, and even enjoy quick glances at my health data. The Always-On screen is a small detail that makes a huge difference in day-to-day use. The feature upgrades are where the Watch 10 really shines. Advanced health metrics like blood oxygen monitoring and heart tracking feel futuristic, and the speed of the new processor is insane—no more waiting for apps to load. Even the battery seems to hold up better than I expected, though it’s not exactly groundbreaking. I was lucky to grab it during a sale and saved a nice chunk of cash, which makes me even happier with the purchase. That said, the three-day delay in delivery was frustrating, and I can’t help but chuckle (nervously) about the invoice being in a third-party vendor’s name. How’s that going to play out if I need a warranty? Still, no regrets—this upgrade makes my old Watch 3 feel like a relic. Totally worth it.

Bought as a gift for my kid to keep track of his heart beat. Serving a dual purpose, one being fitness tracker and other as a watch

I picked up the Apple Watch Series 10 GPS, 42mm, with the Blue Cloud Sport Loop to replace my older Series 6. I wanted more precise health tracking, better fitness data, and a device I could comfortably wear overnight. After using it daily for just over three weeks, including tracking sleep every night, the Series 10 has proven to be a serious health companion—though there are still a few things to keep in mind, especially when using it as a dedicated sleep tracker. One of the biggest changes I noticed over my previous model is the always-on display, which is brighter and more readable, even from a side glance during workouts. The casing is slightly thinner and lighter, and that’s helpful when you’re wearing it for extended periods, including while sleeping. I’ve paired it with the AutoSleep app and SleepWatch, alongside Apple’s native Sleep function. Of the three, AutoSleep still provides the most detailed insight into sleep stages, readiness, and sleep debt, although Apple’s native data has caught up in some areas—particularly with respiratory rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and time in REM. I wear the watch tightly enough to maintain sensor contact but loose enough not to notice it during the night. With the Blue Cloud Sport Loop, it's breathable and comfortable, though it tends to hold moisture and sweat more than the silicone Sport Band. I alternate straps depending on whether I’m sleeping or exercising. Tracking sleep consistently has helped me understand just how deeply recovery ties into daily energy and workout performance. On days following lower HRV or poor sleep quality, I noticed reduced stamina in my workouts and a slight rise in resting heart rate. The connection became clearer over time, especially when viewed in context with Apple’s Vitals app and the AutoSleep readiness score. I started syncing my data with Apple Health and reviewing trends weekly—using it not just to measure sleep hours, but to see how factors like late meals or caffeine affected my sleep quality. This had a real impact on my training schedule. I now move heavier workout sessions to days after higher-quality sleep, and do lighter mobility work on recovery days. As a fitness tracker, the Series 10 remains top of its class. I used it during HIIT, yoga, long walks, and two swim sessions. GPS tracking was fast and accurate, and the Workout app now tracks intensity using Apple’s new training load feature. It’s not quite as granular as Garmin’s metrics, but for most users, it’s more than enough. I especially liked how the health and fitness tracking feed into each other. For example, high training intensity on one day correlates to slightly diminished sleep quality that night, and I could adjust based on that. It’s this sort of ecosystem benefit that makes the Apple Watch Series 10 more than just a fitness band—it’s a full feedback loop. Battery life remains the weakest link. With sleep tracking, workout sessions, and normal daily usage, I end up charging it either late evening or early morning, every single day. Fast charging does help—I measured around 80% charge in 32 minutes—but it still adds a level of planning that some users might find inconvenient. I’ve learned to fit charging into natural gaps—during a shower, meal prep, or desk work—but this won’t suit everyone. For a device marketed heavily as a 24/7 health monitor, it’s time Apple offered a proper multi-day battery solution. Durability, comfort, and connectivity are all excellent. The aluminium build has resisted scratches and rain, and the touchscreen remains responsive even when wet. Sleep tracking accuracy, especially when paired with apps like AutoSleep, makes this watch genuinely useful for health-conscious users who want to spot patterns over time. Whether you're tracking a training block, recovering from illness, or trying to manage stress through better sleep, this watch gives you the tools to do it—if you’re willing to engage with the data and manage its power cycle. In short, the Series 10 GPS model is a smart choice for iPhone users who want deeper wellness insights. It excels at integrating fitness and sleep data in a way that makes your routines smarter, not just more tracked. But to make the most of it, you need to charge it regularly, customise your apps, and treat it as a long-term health assistant—not just a gadget with steps and rings. If sleep is a priority for you like it is for me, this is probably the most complete Apple Watch yet—as long as you’re happy to make the effort to get the most out of it.

Definitely original and new. It is a US based product, so it has the oxygen sensor disabled. When you start it it requires WiFi in order for it to update and start working.
