The material is quite hard and slick and yet textured to give you some grip. The problem is that you have to grip it pretty tightly for the texture to have any effect and it becomes uncomfortable again. It also slides around pretty easily and it never stays where I put it in the car.The button controls are way too sensitive and I am always activating something by mistake. I personally missed the hole for the Apple logo as it gave me a place to stick my finger into for support.
