I'm taking it to see if my energy changes since B1 helps with carbohydrate metabolism. I started with 50mg and now use it morning and midday. Since it is water soluble, it can be depleted in a few hours... Sometimes I take 100mg at a time. I think it's helping me. Strong garlic flavor if you open the small capsule, but no body odor consequences. Thiamine status is largely influenced by carbohydrate intake, You'll need a proportional dietary supply of B1 to match your metabolic demand. In other words, the overconsumption of sugar-laden foods and refined starches places a large burden on the body's thiamine reserves. Now there's a pill for that. Same form of thiamine as Thiamax at half the price. You have to take twice as many pills to get the same dosage, but they are very small and easy to take.

These seem to be over 50mg by my scale, so I am measuring out my daily dose, but I was looking for the convenience of a capsule rather than bulk powder, cause this has a strong flavor.
