Despite some negative recent reviews, I bought the case. I like it. The buttons are responsive and feel like normal buttons. The case is firm and textured but not rubbery. There’s a larger lip on the back that clears the camera lenses. It takes a day or two to get used to. One reason I like the bumper case is that today’s phones get very hot. Few cooling cases are available, and those that are often have small holes on the back that don’t help much. With the entire back exposed, this is one of the only options that helps cool the device. I plan to cover the back with a thin vinyl sticker for protection and remove the back piece. It would be nice for Rhino Shield to offer these skins for those who want only the bumper case but have some scratch protection for the back. You can buy these from companies like Sopiguard. Overall, I’m pleased with the case and think it’s unique to be able to buy a high-quality bumper case.

I bought this for my iPhone 16 pro. I like just using the phone bare, I bought the phone I might as-well enjoy feeling the nice metal of the phone, so I bought this case. Using just the bumper is super easy and nice. The bumper alone sticks up further than your cameras so even without the back part your camera lenses are safe. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 stars is because when you change into the bumper and the back part it’s a big pain to get it to seat correctly. First time I did it I felt like I was going to snap myphone in half. The backplate fits inside the bumper easy, but when you go to put your phone in it moves the backplate a lot and the backplate doesn’t fit in the bumpers grooves. So after messing with it for a couple minutes and applying a lot of pressure you can get it to seat correctly. Another drawback was I had a DBrand skin on the back, before the case, but with the backplate the it doesn’t fit the skin barely. You can get it to seat but it crinkles and ruins the skin. Besides those disadvantages this case is great. I’ve dropped my phone out of my pocket, head height, when i missed a shelf, and bumped it off my desk and it protected everything perfectly. I still had a screen protector though so front screen protection I’m not sure how amazing it is.
