Powerful and quieter than you expect
We bought this unit to cool down our bedroom before we went to bed. I used a temperature sensor to track how effective it was over time on "Cool" mode and, as you can see, it lowered the temperature significantly in a relatively short space of time, and the air went from feeling thick and muggy to cool and crisp. While my graph shows the entire night, it essentially took about an hour to go from heatwave temps to very comfortable. We haven't used the other modes (apart from briefly testing out "Fan" mode), but it does seem to lower the humidity by a considerable degree which can leave the air feeling quite dry (but this is pretty standard for AC and, if anything, the air feels crisp instead of muggy).Pros:- Relatively low noise: It's a lot quieter than you'd expect. I've had many people tell me that a high noise level is just a natural part of having a portable air conditioner, but this disproves that. There are some air conditioners that rattle and you can't even speak over, this isn't one of them. If you're used to sleeping with a powerful fan, this isn't that much louder, especially if you have it on at the other end of the bedroom. You do occasionally hear a little bit of trickling but that's it.- Looks high-quality: This unit looks and acts like something quite high-end. The automatic fan blades that unfold when you turn it on, the sleek design, the way it just does what you need it to do; it seems very well built.- Instant relief: While it may take time to cool down the overall temperature of the room, you do feel instant, icy relief as soon as it's turned on.- Quick to set up and easy to use: This took about 20 minutes to set up up and 70% of that was fitting the casement window adaptor. Otherwise, it's just a case of connecting the exhaust tube and screwing in the cable organisers (to wind any excess cable round). The castors are pre-fitted.Cons:- Water leakage when moved: while this unit does effectively evaporate air moisture out through the exhaust pipe, if you move the unit around too aggressively (e.g. tilt it or move it quickly) then it does leek a small amount on the floor.- Lack of intensity control: There doesn't seem to be any difference in strength or noise between Low, Medium and High mode. There is also zero difference in noise between Cool and Fan mode.- Oversized window adaptor: The included casement window adaptor is enormous. It does work (even on windows that open outwards, despite the instructions showing the opposite) but the amount of material is a bit excessive and can look untidy.- Difficult to move around: While the unit is quite heavy (but nowhere near as heavy as some units can be), the main problem with moving it is lack of grip. There only one, small hand grip and, though it does have castor wheels, it's very challenging to manoeuvre to another room.Overall, these cons haven't affected our very positive impression of the unit. We would definitely look to buy an identical one for other parts of the house in the future.

Overall Good Portable AC
I'll be honest, I was skeptical about these types of units but now that I have one, I don't know how I ever lived through summer without it before. The difference between this AC unit and a good big fan is Night and Day! Wow! It's changed my summer experience, especially the really hot summer days, from a miserable soaking in the sauna and cursing at the sun struggle fest to a blissful, heavenly zen like meditation session type of experience. Huge difference, sooo happy I bought this!On the cool factor, it definitely has it, especially if you have it blowing directly at you (though not recommended you might get sick), it feels like a ice storm sent from the poles. I really like the remote control too, a little bit better and cooler looking than other units at this price point which makes me feel like my money went somewhere useful. Functionally it's not different than most other units at this price, though you do have 3 fan speeds instead of 2 which is a nice touch. You also have a neat vertical auto swinging function that other units at this price don't often have which helps to circulate the air a little better. However this unit does NOT heat, keep that in mind if you wanted something for the winter too. That said, it's not perfect, but then nothing ever is. Indeed it is a tad noisy, however I did not dock a star for this as for me personally, this is not an issue, however if you intend to sleep in the same room with it, you may want to look elsewhere. For an office or other room where you'll be listening to other stuff anyways, it's fine! Also, don't go in expecting it to cool your entire house or flat, especially if it's big. In my so far limited experience with it, it has been doing a good job at cooling my small office and bleeding some of the cooler air into the rest of my flat too but not nearly to the same chill factor as the room it's in. That said however, I still think it's a God send on these wildly hot summer days!Lastly, in my case, I did have to fight one side of the exhaust tube screwing into the adapter thing for the window side but that might've been just me being silly. I ended up doing a quick pass or two of tape around both those ends anyways to really seal the exhaust air from leaking and it's perfectly fine now.All in all, I'm satisfied with this unit. It's good, not perfect but you'd likely be doubling the cost price to get close to perfect so I'm fine with it as it is. I can definitely recommend this! Just make sure you temper your expectations and know what you're buying :)

Very good air conditioner - but NOT for Velux windows, and hose is too [email protected] long
Why did you choose this product over others?:Good air conditioner - had it since 2018 - but, (1) the hose is too short @1.5m and hard to find an extension (that as sturdy - most of flimsy and emit quite a bit of heat), (2) NOT feasible for those with Velux/loft windows - for sash windows, more doable - although you had to put together the attachment to place on the window sill. Noise level is alright, but probably don't want it on all the time without wearing some type of noise blocker.

Excellent Air Conditioner and Outstanding Customer Care.
I’m genuinely impressed with this air conditioner- it arrived two days earlier than expected, which was a brilliant surprise has it was such a hot day. The packaging was thoughtfully designed: instead of wrestling with a heavy box, you simply lift it off the top and wheel the unit off the base. Very easy and hassle free! The air conditioner itself is sleek and smart-looking. It started cooling the room within minutes and was far quieter than I expected-especially after reading other reviews. It’s simple to use, intuitive, and glides easily on its casters when you need to move itBut what really stood out to me was the exceptional customer service. Around 7pm the same day, I received a call from the seller , concerned that the courier hadn’t confirmed the delivery. She explained how important it is to them that air conditioners reach customers quickly-especially elderly or disabled people-and that they always try to get them dispatched without delay. She was genuinely relieved when I told her it had arrived at 1am and I was already enjoying a lovely cool room. That kind of personal follow-up and care is rare these days and shows true dedication to customer satisfaction. Highly recommended-not just for the product but for the wonderful service behind it.
