Little bit heavy but gives smooth blowdry

Weighs a bit but this is down to quality.Ordered for the wife & daughter as they bicker over who has the one in the house when each goes to look for it. This is well presented in the box and the first thing you notice is the weight, now my first thought was it must have a thick cable or a silly huge user manual, however upon opening and holding compared to our other Ionic Hairdryer you soon can tell the wight is in the hair dryer itself, so this is made / constructed way more solidly compared to our current one.Now in relation to the Ionic function of these hair dryers both the wife and the daughter do not see any difference compared against each other or when the older one was compared to an non ionic hair dryer but they both dont have naturally frizzy hair to begin with so can not comment on the effectiveness of this function.Handling this hair dryer is not really a problem with its additional weight as it is well balanced and easy to bold, the cool function requires you to hold in the button to disengage the heating elements whereas our current one is either slide one up for cold and 2,3 for heat, the extra 400 Watt of power for drying does make a big difference in drying time though, especially on the daughter who has hair down to her waise.The rose gold colour is a nice choice as most tend to be black and look cheaper, the filter at the back is easily removable once you figure out to twist it to unlock and then you can grab the small integrated handle on the filter to lift out and give it a shake / pull hair out.As we know remington are one of the leading brands and this build wise is solig ant true quality, this would make an ideal gift for someone or a treat for yourself with a product that is built to last so a 5 star product that will save quite a few bickering sessions in our household now.

As I age I have less need for hair styling products so I let my wife try this out.I've always trusted the Remington brand so I was pleased to be able to test this hairdryer from their range.The hairdryer us definitely geared towards the female user in its pearly pink casing. It comes with a big diffuser and a smaller, directional jet attachment. The power rating of 2200w certainly shows, and the dryer is capable of moving a lot of air even with no attachment connected, but add the jet nozzle and it really can penetrate deeply to dry your hair quickly and efficiently.The dryer feels quite light compared to what I'm used to, but that may be because our current dryer is ancient. The lightness is a good thing as its easy to handle, it also makes it easy to take with you on trips.etc. despite its weight, it still feels solid and well built, this is backed by the 5yr warranty.There are only 2 speed and 3 heat settings on offer, but i personally like that.as it's easy to use and less gimmicky. The switches themselves are responsive and easy to access during use. I also like the removable air intake grille as its often a place that gets dirty and can start to look grubby and reduce the effectiveness of the dryer.Overall, priced at £34.99 at the time of ordering, this is a basic, but great performing dryer which makes light work of drying even the wettest hair with ease. The included adaptors again are limited, but they work very well and should meet the demands of most users. A good product at a competitive price backed by the Remington brand.
