Perfect Fit for the FX3 — Built Like a Tank
This SmallRig Hawk-Lock cage for the Sony FX3 fits perfectly. I love the added top handle — it feels solid and makes handling the camera much easier. All the ports remain fully accessible, and it integrates seamlessly with other SmallRig accessories I already use. Excellent design, secure fit, and just a great all-around upgrade for rigging the FX3.

Very good cage.
Does exactly what it’s supposed to. The cage add a slip over hand support. Has plenty of screw taps for various applications, very versatile. It comes with a nice adapter for the handle the only issue I saw was the screw for said adapter were in the reverse orientation which in the instructions were never stated so I struggled for about 15 mins until I paid close attention to a YouTube video and they stated the problem. Once I removed the screws everything went together perfectly. The cage fits excellently and there is no movement of the camera. Overall great value

Excellent quality! My ONLY complaint is that there are no instructions, at all, and as a professional videographer, I still had issues figuring out what small parts go where. Other than that, once all the “ducks were in a row,” it’s an excellent product!

While this reinforces the handle very very well, I would wish SmallRig to also come up with their solution similar to Cineback or Rigid Pro where it converts it into an FX6 but with V mount d-tap solution.

Fit well and easy to attach. I love the extra support for the top handle and love the included hand strap. However the cold show on the cage, anything I want to put in (DJI Mic 2 RX) is too loose and falls out. You would need something that closes down on the cold shoe to hold itself. Also, with the height of the HDMI Clamp adjuster it blocks anything too big in the cold shoe.
