This is replacing my aging G4. Adding to my fleet of various Foscam models. Great that it can do 5 Ghz Wifi. Better resolution and clearer picture. Infrared nightvision is at least as good as the G4 but I really like the 4 white spotlights. Much brighter than I expected them to be for their size and it gets me color pictures when they trigger at night. Overall impressed at the performance and appreciate the value at this price.

THEY DRAW ABOUT AN AMP AN HOUR SO IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO USE A DEDICATED SOLAR SETUP, PLAN YOUR BATTERY SIZE ACCORDINGLY FOR NO INSOLATION HOURS. NIGHT VISION IS TERRIFIC ESP. IN QHD MODE. VERY SHARP. THERE IS A LITTLE DARKNESS LATENCY MEANING THAT RACOON MAY JUST BLEND INTO THE DARKNESS WHEN HE GETS FARTHER AWAY. SPIDERS DO SEEM ATTRACTED TO THE IR LEDS SO PLAN TO DUST YOUR CAMERAS EVERY COUPLE MONTHS. THE IR ALSO ATTRACTS MOTHS AND YOU MAY SEE AN OCCASIONAL BAT ZIPPING BACK AND FORTH DOING NIGHTTIME BUG CLEANUP. FOG IN IR LOOKS LIKE POST APOCALYPTIC GREY FALLOUT FLYING BACK AND FORTH. BE WARNED, YOU'LL KNOW IT WHEN YOU SEE IT...LOL. GOOD CAMERAS AND NICE MOBILE APP. A GREAT CONTROL APP FOR A PC (VMS) IS EASY TO USE AND HAS GOOD FEATURES LIKE ONE-SCREEN-AT-A-TIME, MULTIPLE WINDOWS AT ONCE AND FULL SCREEN. SETUP CAN BE A LITTLE CHALLENGING WITH AN INCLUDED QR CODE TO SCAN WITH YOUR PHONE (PHONE HAS TO BE ON THE SAME WIFI SSID AND THE CAMERA WITH BE USING) THEN YOU USE THE V5P TO SCAN YOUR PHONES RESULTING QR CODE... BE SURE TO TURN ON THE ONVIF TOGGLE FOR EACH CAMERA IN THE VMS SOFTWARE. IT SEEMS TO MATTER FOR ANY SOFTWARE INCLUDING VMS. OVERALL THESE ARE RUGGED CAMS WITH GOOD NIGHT VISION, WIFI AND STABILITY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have a front gate situated about 125' from the front of the house. I bought this to use as a video intercom and general security camera. It hasn't failed on both counts. The WiFi radio connected immediately with my router and there's zero lag when accessing the unit. Power is a simple 12vdc connection which can be done via solar / battery or a small power supply (included). I am using it in conjunction with the Foscam app which provides web alerts and online storage. The two way audio is clear and audible plus there's an additional light and siren if necessary.

I got this to replace older Foscam cameras we have around the exterior and interior of our vacation home. I installed and tested over the weekend. The video quality is definitely an upgrade. Setup was quicker than the older cameras. These cameras use the app to access which is nice since my older cameras had internal servers that used activex which is now obsolete. One of the features I like best is the sma antenna connector which makes it removable; I use an antenna extension cable for one of my cameras to move the antenna closer to my router which helps make a solid wifi connection.

Love this camera! It has worked really well for us and we appreciate the extra safety we feel about our property. We live near 2 universities and we're by some dorms, so we've had students trespass on our property after a night of drinking. If any damage is done we can now show proof to the police. Thank you for making such a solid product!!

Great outdoor security camera that I have mounted outside in the rain over my outdoor dog kennel. It allows me to remotely access the camera, hear my dog, and talk to her via the microphone and speaker on the camera. It is easy to setup on WiFi and very easy to access remotely via a cell phone via the Foscam app.

Camera came packaged very well. Setup using the Foscam app is straight forward. The Windows or the Mac app work very well too and have the added ability to make configuration changes that aren't available in the phone app. I currently have 6 of these in service around my property.

Heavy duty metal build. Great picture. Almost instant load time.
