Iberico de Bellota ham = melt-in-your-mouth magic! Sweet, savory, and totally addictive.

This item arrived brown and did not look like the ad on Amazon at all. The smell was not what I expected and it tasted suspect so I unfortunately felt is safer to dispose of it. Since that time, I did purchase a full Iberico ham from Amazon and cut it myself. The color, smell, and taste of the dry aged and freshly cut Iberico ham was completely different. It was a beautiful ruby red, fragrant, and when covered with plastic wrap and left to warm up to about 74oF, was easy to consume. I have a suspicion that this and other food companies may be taking advantage of Amazon as a clearing house for items of questionable quality because they are non-returnable. The Amazon sellers can't be held responsible for how products are handled inside the warehouses since they are huge and there are so many employees. They might however want to develop a special handling, cooling, and packaging requirements for food products even if that packaging ultimately falls to the sellers. I buy so many items from Amazon daily and greatly appreciate their service and pricing. I have ever only had issues with a few food items. Other than that, I'm a huge Amazon fan!

I can't understand why anyone would write a bad review on this. It's so delicious that I can't eat any other kind of cured ham now. It melts in your mouth. I'm addicted to it. Regardless of the price I've bought 3 packs this month so far and it's only the middle of the month.

Very nutty flavored ham! The texture and quality were very nice - almost melts in your mouth. Not tough at all. Texture was buttery but a little too oily for my personal tastes. The acorn is very apparent. I have to imagine that the fresh off the bone, or deli cut, is a little sweeter. I’ve had the loin, and I like it better. The meat, the ham, though was fresh and the use by date was far in the future. I like this better than standard Italian prosciutto. Same for the loin.

Always order this because it’s closest to quality you can find in Andalusia… obviously not the same but consistent and best we can get in the states. Only pre sliced one to get otherwise get a full pata from another brand

I was excited to try the Iberico de Bellota Ham, expecting it to stand out because of its reputation and price. While it was good, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. Taste and Texture The ham had a slightly sweet undertone, which I wasn’t expecting. I usually enjoy cured ham, but I thought the flavor would be more intense or complex, considering it’s Iberico. For me, it didn’t justify the premium price tag. Quantity vs. Value The portion size was smaller than I anticipated, especially given the cost. While the packaging was well-done and kept the product fresh, the overall value felt lacking. Final Thoughts If you’re looking for a high-quality ham and enjoy a slightly sweeter flavor profile, this could be a good option. However, if you’re used to other cured hams, you might find this one underwhelming for the price. Personally, I wouldn’t repurchase.

Was delicious!

There’s not much to say really. It was outside for less than 10 minutes yesterday after it’s delivery and it looks awful, tastes awful, because it went bad. Value for money is zero because I will not be eating meat that’s gone bad. I would gift it to an enemy because it is bad meat. Buy a pound of deli ham for $6 and you’ll get a product with more integrity than this.
