First, if you do audiobooks, you need to listen to it. If you like to immerse yourself in reading like I do (which means you read along while listening to the audiobook), then for sure do it with this series. Obviously, like book one, it’s taboo, dark, and spicy. So check your TWs. But TF?! The things I didn’t see coming?! Honestly, I thought I had stuff figured out, and was like I know where book two is going to go. HA! No, I didn’t. I had no clue! I mean, for real. This book opened Pandora’s box for me. Here I am using the credits I saved up on Audible for the other series in this world, and figuring out how much longer I need to wait to get them all lol. Anyways, the plot twists. Angst. Spice. Unhinged MMCs. Suspense. It is so good. I love the characters. Sooo much goodness. IDC what Malachi has done. IDC. I’m just saying. Lol. Perfection. This contemporary romance is book 2 in The Web of Silence Duet. This book has dark content from beginning to end. Make sure to check all your trigger warnings. The romance in this book is a forbidden romance. The book is very spicy with very descriptive spicy scenes. Malachi has lost her. The only thing he’s ever wanted in his life. Olivia. He will do whatever it takes to get her back. She has finally chosen him, and he doesn’t care how powerful his new enemies are. They can’t have what’s his. This is a great ending to the duet, and I didn’t want to put it down. Review: Creepy, crawly, and delicious! - That ending was freaking beautiful! But really, that whole book was beautiful. I feel like I absolutely loved all of this book and its precourser. The storyline was deep, complex, and tugged at all my strings. The characters were fantastic, and I wanted to be fully embedded in their lives. The taboo of it all was just an additional delicious component, and I absolutely love the beautiful wrap-up that we got for these amazing characters. So sad it is over, but what a fun and satisfying read! ❤️

I haven’t been this feral about a duet since my very first dark romance 🥵😉
I haven’t been this feral about a duet since my very first dark romance 🥵😉 Beyond exceeded every expectation & will be consuming my brain for the foreseeable future 🖤 The 1st half is a more in depth look into Malachi’s mind as a child (💔) & the events from part 1 of Little Stranger: It is riveting to see the contrast in POVs & not redundant at all - I ate it up!! Part 2 is present day & while they have found themselves a little bubble of happiness, Malachi is still terrified to lose Olivia & they have her looming “obligations” to escape. She would never leave him. But she is taken… & he will burn the world down to get his girl back 🙌🏼 The audio is done with a full cast & it is 🔥 Grayson Owens did a brilliant job of voicing Big Brother through the early to present years. It was interesting hearing Shane East do a different accent & his character, Base, is hilarious to me! “Base is wearing a Batman mask, because he’s an id!ot.” Lol but I love him for it (my first encounter with him) 🤣 Did things a little backwards, but SO excited to start the EoD Series ASAP (some intertwined characters) 🔗 From what I’ve heard about this universe so far & see what is planned for the future… I need to start saving for a space ship because I feel like I’ll be spending lots of time here 🛸

Little Stranger and Little Liar should have been combined into one book…
Soo I really feel like this book and Little Stranger could have all just been one long book. I did not love having to basically re read the same book over again but from Malachis prospective. I did however like the back story of Malachis child hood and the relationships between Molly, Malachi and their father. These books had the potential to be a 5 star read in my opinion but only if they were combined and there was not so much of the same exact story line. Malachi Vise you might be one of my favorite new book boyfriends !

Satisfying. Sobbing with tears of joy
I am so happy I read part two of The Web of Silence Duet because it concluded The Edge of Darkness universe so nicely. The stories were truly beautifully woven. I love Malachi's character developmemt. I feel like such a hopeless romantic but I believe that in the midst of adversity love will prevail. And just because ones love may look different it doesn't mean it's not love.

🛑SPOILERS AHEAD🛑 - This story fueled my dark soul 🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 / 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I devoured this book much like book one and I’m in love with Malachi! This book had more plot than book one but still not enough for me to give it 5⭐️. Don’t let that fool you though, I absolutely LOVED it! Like book one, book two is set up into two parts. Part one focuses on Malachi and his side of the story. Chapter one describes Malachi’s life before the Vize’s and it GUTTED me 😭 No wonder he is the way he is! Then the remainder of part one is basically everything that happened in book one but from Malachi’s side. Part two is where the “plot” begins. It’s nothing crazy but had me locked in anyways. Plus, I was kicking my feet and giggling when the Edge of Darkness trilogy characters showed up and tied the stories together. All my favorite men in one place, how could it get any better?! This story won’t be for everyone as it’s dark, taboo, super spicy and has little plot.. but it fueled my dark soul and I am so glad I read it 🖤

Leigh has done it again. this book is everything I didn’t know I needed and more. Malachi and Olivia’s story hit harder, deeper, and messier than I expected, pulling me right back into the hauntingly beautiful Web of Silence world. Getting Malachi’s POV filled in so many emotional blanks and made me fall for him all over again. Leigh somehow manages to weave heartbreak, redemption, and desire into a story that feels both devastating and healing. What I Loved: * Malachi’s POV: Finally seeing the world through his eyes was EVERYTHING. His love for Olivia? Unmatched. He’s been choosing her since day one and always will. * Emotional Depth: We got glimpses into his past, the trauma before he came to the Vizes, and it explained so much about who he is. It made me ache for him in the best way. * Revisiting Key Moments: Getting those familiar Little Stranger scenes but with new emotional context? Chef’s kiss. It added so much weight and meaning. * The Cameos: Those surprise appearances from The Edge of Darkness characters had me screaming. It felt like a reunion I didn’t realize I was craving. * The Plot Twists & Tension: Leigh’s signature mix of suspense, betrayal, and spice hit perfectly. Every twist landed; every reveal hurt just right. * That Ending: I don’t even know what emotion to pick: crying, smiling, screaming, shattering. It was raw, beautiful, and perfectly bittersweet. Final Thoughts Little Liar was the sequel I’d been waiting for. It’s emotional, twisted, and achingly romantic. Everything Leigh fans could ever hope for. From childhood flashbacks to adult heartbreak, every page made me feel something. Malachi and Olivia’s story has officially come full circle, and even though I miss them already, I wouldn’t trade their ending for anything. Leigh, once again you’ve wrecked me in the best possible way. 💔🔥
