This is the best amazing way to program my radio by my iPhone. I can’t program my radio with a programming cable. I don’t have a laptop so the best thing to buy is this it’s easy to go with you or to take with you and it’s also easy to program it is the best piece of equipment to have to program your radio with your iPhone. I think you should buy it.

A really cool concept, replacing the conventional need for cables with a decent bluetooth / app based approach. Results are more than satisfactory and although I'm still learning to use the app, I'm impressed thus far.

The device itself is very good, well made, sturdy enough, and the battery seems to last ages on a charge.I connected it up and tried to use the web application to program a radio and I have to say I'm not sure if its me or the website, but one of us doesnt work very well. Pairing the device (using chrome or edge) was no problem with the Bluetooth prompt appearing and connecting the the BLE Serial device with no issues.When trying to read of write to the radio though, no matter which model I picked on the left hand side, it would start sending (and the radio sees the comms as its LED flashes as expected) it then crashes out the comms and the radio resets. This usually indicates either wrong model selection or protocol error.I gave up after a while and instead decided to figure out how to get my PC using Chirp to be able to talk to this thing, and after a while I found a python tool ble-serial which works perfectly on Windows and allows you to make a wireless serial connection that chirp can use. From there it was plain sailing as it worked just as well as a wired programmer.I'm hoping the mobile application is more use, although I plan to use iot from a laptop anyway so this solution works for me. Hopefully they can improve the website for my specific model.In short then.. a great wireless adapter, but lacking in the software department, though you can use Chirp.. so its all good.

The media could not be loaded. I normally use a USB cable to program my radios using Chirp on my MacBook Pro so was interested to see how this Bluetooth dongle would work. Firstly I tried to connect the programmer to my Mac as I was hoping to use Chirp but sadly this failed. I then followed the instructions and downloaded the Odmaster App to my Android phone which the instruction manual advises. Then after a bit of bother connecting realised that any other Bluetooth device that connects to your phone like a smart watch needs to be switched off in order for the programmer to pair with the phone. Once connected it worked a treat as can be seen in the video, all that remains is to learn how to use the Odmaster App properly, the manual does point you towards Tidradio wireless programmer videos on Youtube which is helpful. This is definitely a useful tool for use when out and about traveling, I will have to use it some more to work out if it can really replace my USB cable.
